One of the iconic albums of the 90s and a cracking little box set.

Next best price for this is £72.26 and a look at Discogs tells me the median price is above £80.

"Spread over two vinyl discs, comes supplemented by a double album of B-sides and sessions, plus a further double set containing the previously unreleased concert at Haigh Hall. The box also comes with a 20-page booklet book including a selection of unseen photographs by Chris Floyd, who travelled with the band and was granted unprecedented backstage and offstage access. There is also a download card entitling the purchaser to all of the audio and the further music included on the 4CD Box Set edition

So, I think I understand it
You buy this crackling - not a typo - box set because it allows you to get the digital download.

Well. It turns out that my gut-feeling about vinyl-buyers was spot-on.

If anyone wants to discuss it with me, I'll be the bearded bloke in the corner braying about the botanics in my £9 cup of artisanal gin.

I said the reason you buy this box set was for the digital download?

Where on earth did I say that?

I think his point is that there is a perception that a lot of people who collect vinyl bang on about the warmth, tone, fidelity etc, (in my limited experience certainly true) but actually only ever listen to digital audio.

I thought that might be the case but it was rather tenuous and confusing to say the least...
