The West Wing, £39.99 for complete HD series in HD on iTunes

All seven seasons of what is indisputably The Greatest Television Series in the History of Anything Ever.

Joking aside; it's a great price for this - less than £6 per season, and in HD. You can't find the West Wing on Blu-Ray, meaning that this is the only (legitimate) way to own the series in its full 1080p HD glory. I honestly can't recommend it enough.

There's 7.35% cashback on Topcashback, or 7% Quidco, too.

PS: I'd like to put in a good word for The Newsroom, Aaron Sorkin's latest television series, too. The first season is currently TV Series of the Week on iTunes (at £14.99 HD) and it's great.

Free on sky....

How much do you pay for sky? Is it free? This statement is not really valid.

I presume you're point is this is a bad deal because it's free elsewhere. But it's not free because you have to pay for sky, and you won't actually own it and have no use to it away from wi-fi, such as when travelling.

Wonder if theres an episode where the POTUS is nearly drawn into a war with a Communist Leader over a comedy movie ?

Nah, that would be ridiculous...

The cheapest way to watch the West Wing (legally) at the moment is on Now TV. £6.99 for a month's entertainment pass give you access to all seven series.

The last ever episode of The Newsroom was aired in the US a few days ago. I watched it yesterday and it was a bit of an anti-climax.

If you like Sorkin's stuff Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is worth watching too.

Obviously everyone has their own opinion..sadly yours is the wrong one.

Both the Soprano's and Breaking Bad are better....

Cold, I want the complete HD series in SD.

They never brought this out in Bluray as it would need a complete re edit once digitised in HD so not sure where this iTunes store HD version comes from? Is it really HD or just upscaled?

It's definitely HD: the original series was broadcast in HD. More here: engadget.com/201…bu/
