If you're a gamepass subscriber, keep in mind you get the non-goty edition as part of your sub. However, saves don't transfer from non GOTY to GOTY.

I think that's just the normal price, not really worth posting as a hot deal. In my humble opinion of course.

Absolutely right this is a standard price for this
I want this on the Switch but i'm not paying £45 for it...guess i will have to wait for a significant price drop.

I hear the frame rates are fairly horrific on Switch :-\
Mmmmmmm
2 best bits of DLC I've ever experienced. Completed this game 3 times and always seem to find new stuff on each play through. Runs really well on Xbox One X as well.

me too, it was only £35 before the Netflix show aired but now demand must be high as its £45 and out of stock almost everywhere.

True but still annoying when it's half the price on another format. Might just get it on ps4 instead
Never played Witcher before, worth a try?

It was, and i was tempted too.

Considering the game is all on the cart and it comes with the additional extras such as the map etc i decided to hold out for the physical version.

I hear you. I guess it’s the classic thing of paying to play it on the toilet I was tempted, but even in my drunkest Christmas moments, managed to resist.

Plus there’s the whole question of having 100+ hours to play it all over again

Ha there is that! Is it worth a go then? Might grab a copy on PS4 for the weekends entertainment x

You've seen reviews and still having questions? This is the game of last years - huge and detailed world, top class story, many choices. This is GRAND RPG

Yeah, it’s pretty great! I loved the Witcher 2 (played through twice, slightly different paths), but it took me a few hours to get into the third. Sunk a good 30 hours or so into the card game, Gwent x

Me neither, and it's been on my pile of shame for years. 99% of people rave about it, and most say it's one of the best games they've played.

Read the books? Watch the TV show? Download Gwent, the standalone game, for free? Or do something non Witcher-related, I suppose

Watch the show on Netflix, if you can.

Thanks OP. Ordered! Was gonna get it £1 cheaper on PSN but would prefer hard copy.
Not available for collection or delivery now it seems

Does the GOTY version come with the "bonus content" that the original did? That being the map, soundtrack cd etc?

There’s no denying it’s a great game but I could never get into it. Played a few missions and lost interest, mainly to how overly complicated it all felt. Everyone says it gets better the more you play it and I know my opinion is not commonly shared but just pointing out it’s not for everyone
It makes me happy to see a new surge of people playing this game thanks to the Netflix show. More people playing more chance for a new Witcher game.
Toss a coin to your Witcher ...

I had the game for over a year before giving it a proper go. Same as you, tried it, found it overwhelming and gave up. Don't miss out on a classic though.

My advice would be to wander around and get use to the mechanics. Combat feels a bit clunky at first but dodge and shield are your friend. Lots of good quick tutorials on YT for the first area to help settle you in too. Once it opens up, the game has literally tonnes to story paths, many I haven't seen in 2 play throughs. The DLC is epic as well.

Thanks mate. I’ve never quite given up on returning but as new games come out I never find the time to give it another go. I’ve no doubt I’d probably love it if I could find the time to invest though
