This seems to be the deal that's not going away, this time with added security of the Steam refund (again)... I'm sure you won't utilise this unless it doesn't run well on your system though

CD PROJEKT RED will not be happy until everyone owns this!

ABOUT THE GAME

Features all technical and visual updates as well as a new user interface completely redesigned on the basis of feedback from members of the Witcher Community.

Become a professional monster slayer and embark on an adventure of epic proportions!

Upon its release, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt became an instant classic, claiming over 250 Game of the Year awards. Now you can enjoy this huge, over 100-hour long, open-world adventure along with both its story-driven expansions worth an extra 50 hours of gameplay. This edition includes all additional content - new weapons, armor, companion outfits, new game mode and side quests.

Play as a Highly Trained Monster Slayer for Hire

Trained from early childhood and mutated to gain superhuman skills, strength and reflexes, witchers are a distrusted counterbalance to the monster-infested world in which they live.

Gruesomely destroy foes as a professional monster hunter armed with a range of upgradeable weapons, mutating potions, and combat magic.

Hunt down a wide variety of exotic monsters, from savage beasts prowling mountain passes to cunning supernatural predators lurking in the shadowy back alleys of densely populated cities.

Invest your rewards to upgrade your weaponry and buy custom armor, or spend them on horse races, card games, fist fighting and other pleasures life brings.

Track Down the Child of Prophecy in a Morally Ambiguous Fantasy Open World

Built for endless adventure, the massive open world of The Witcher sets new standards in terms of size, depth and complexity.
Traverse a fantastical open world: explore forgotten ruins, caves and shipwrecks, trade with merchants and dwarven smiths in cities, and hunt across open plains, amidst mountains and at sea.

In a time of war, track down the child of prophecy, a living weapon of great power whose coming was foretold in ancient elven legends.
Make choices that go beyond good and evil and face their far-reaching consequences.

Framerate first and foremost. In 30 FPS it controls kind of sluggish, but 60 FPS helps a little.

It all depends on you tbh. The console is nice and the pc offers mods and faster fps... If your pc can handle it.

Consoles offer a very different experience and the PC master race will always belittle gaming on consoles sadly. Go with what you're more comfortable with and what you are used to imho.

no one mentioned pc master race until you did
One day I shall play this. Probably in 15 years when kids have grown up. No doubt there will be a 'skyrim - toaster edition' to play first by then

I play PC version with PS4 controller and for me it's the best of both worlds. As others have mentioned you have access to the mods which makes this far more bearable. This is a lonnnng repetive game so mods like "Fast travel from anywhere" will keep it enjoyable and not so laborious. I just installed no fall damage mod this evening as I was sick of falling to my death at entrances to caves and having to make my way too them again. The height you have to fall from for it to be fatal is like 10ft it's ridiculous :-D Also auto equip oil to weapon is a must unless you want to manually do it every single battle, which I don't.
Great story, terribly combat and a superb mini-game (Gwent). I spent more time in the mini-game than actually doing the story..
Having played on PS4 and PC we biggest advantage was, IMO, loading times.

For me gwent was the worst thing in the game, should be an option to turn it off completely . i completed it on normal, never got round to doing it at a higher difficulty or the other new game option. will look into mods.

It still blows my mind how the install size on PS4 is only 42GB. That's including the dlc content too.

How so much content has been crammed into so little space I'll never know.

I like Gwent. Didn't bother with it at first but then really got into it. Once you've worked out your tactics and got a half decent deck you can demolish the Gwent challenges.

You only need to transfer over the folder with the savings . On my pc it was User name\Documents\The Witcher 3\Saved Games. So make a copy of that folder and put it on a different partition or usb stick and then uninstall the game. After you install the game from Steam put it in the new game folder.
I'm playing W3 for the first time... 60+ hours in, still haven't finished Act 1, so much content sometimes I wonder if there's toooooo much

Awesome game... the attention to detail is awesome and even secondary quests have their own story.
