Thank you so much for this.
I originally purchased this box set from America about 10 years ago and soon realised it had been recorded from tv !
It does have all episodes but some loose sound and others loose satellite signal half way through so obviously this is reflected on the recording.
Every time ive researched this since i read that the original music would not be included !
So happy to have no reserved this for collection tomorrow.
Hot from me .

..seems to be exclusive to Argos and Sainsbury's.....as even Amazon only have the deluxe locker edition that was released in 2016 for £79.99.

Now this is a blast from the past!
Can this box set be bought anywhere like iTunes to stream/download? I think Netflix USA still have it, shame not UK, although a little VPN magic helps

£45 for 122 episodes is not that bad...works out at about 37p an episode.
Absolutely brilliant series this was. Have some heat
Does that mean it doesn't contain the 4 bonus discs if it only has 22 discs.

Yeah it says it has 23 hours of extras. This set still has a lot. I think it says it has 12 hours of extras if it's the same as the US 22 disc release.
Bought on Ebay a couple years back for the same price - I just need to own this on cloud! When I retire in 30 years, this will be the first series I'll watch!!
Was only talking about this show to my dad a couple of weeks ago, he loved it and I used to enjoy watching it with him. Tried looking for it online but couldn’t find anything so definitely ordering this for his Xmas present!!
Did you know that the actor that played his friend Paul went onto be Marilyn Ma...

I joke. Absolutely classic series.
Channel 4 screened this back in the day. Was it set in the 60's? I thought the 80's
Just here for the nostalgia...
DVD? £45? come on, this will be in charity shops for a quid.

I don't think you've looked in charity shops. Anything high value is sold for higher price. But if you found one I would think it would be less but who is giving this away?

Depends on his age when watching the show. I agree though. She was 6 years older than me

Ok £2. If you're still watching DVDs you're a decade behind
loved this! still not spending £45 on it though
Oddly I started watching this again last night - my copies are very poor quality, though. Wonder if this has been remastered, at all.
A great series - so can anyone confirm if this comes with the music in background as that was a major part of the series. I heard that with all the royalties and licences it was never going to get released with the music? I spent ages looking for this the closest I got was a user/group MiLK who had actually spent like a year or 3 adding all the correct music themself to a proper DVDrip of the series they had bought and they made it available. oh except season 6 was SDTV rip

Not buying it but used to watch it so you get heat
Awww, this takes me back, back to the years before I hit my hedonistic years when everything then becomes blurry.

Just looked at it on eBay and Argos claim it comes with every original song as it was played in each episode

Well yes but if it's not available on another format you don't have a choice.

Wow, Winnie's still hot!
And I'm relieved she's older than me...
Great show-I always thought that Kevin’s Dad, given his looks and temperament, would have made a perfect Fred Flintstone

I wasn’t gonna spend money today but Iv been stalking the price of this box set for years- best I’ve seen yet

Have some heat
Id say this features in my top five series of all time.

I heard they had issues releasing due to the copyright on the music. Hope the music has not been removed as it would spoil it somewhat.

Dont look up what she looks like now, 400lbs, uni brow, the works! Nah just kidding.
This show started before I was born but they had reruns on when I was a kid and I loved it. Bought this to intro to my wife and to binge when our spawn are in bed!
Are people liking this because it’s a good deal or because of nostalgia reasons

Currently does seem a little high on price - but by next year when all the various stream services take content back / off air I suspect disk prices will go up.

Start stock piling all those box sets for a fiver in CEX and similar

...not that Blu-ray would make much of a difference on the source material and Blu-Ray or 4K players would upscale the DVD anyway.....you would never find this in a charity shop, at least for a number of years...
