The most in depth account going, well worth a watch.
If you haven’t already, and ever get the chance to visit Oradour-sur-Glane you REALLY must.
One reason is that a lot of eye witnesses, soldiers etc were still alive when it was made.
And the fact that it didn’t have to rely on a shed load of computer generated graphics to aid understanding of the subject.
Can just imagine if made now there’d be loads of 3D nonsense recreating battles, etc.
Yep agreed. It's very annoying when people call everyone a Nazi in today's world for the slightest thing. If those people witnessed what happened in the death camps they would never want to utter the word.
Oh wait
Absolute classic and must see no matter how many times I’ve watched the series in full or a particular favourite episode.
The depth, the narration, the facts
EDIT - yes it is, it was the Fremantle version that had the cropped picture. (edited)
I like his narration. I think it all adds to it
Nice, thanks. The last time I was doind comparisons was when I tried to find which version of Koyaanisqatsi was the better one
Trump, bolsarano, Johnson... right wing populism us back unfortunately.
Yikes, too soon? Who would narrate it? I didn't even know they bothered transferring it to Blu-Ray so thanks. (edited)
Robert Powell, that's if he survives the acopylypse.
What were the issues with the older version?
Thanks, always interesting to see such details between versions.
The framing was out, whereby you'd get peoples heads cropped or similar just to get the widescreen image. Will see if I can find an example online.

I was wondering how many hours this lasts but I can’t find the information? Does anyone know? Thanks in advance.
