cheapest i've seen it for a while!
The X-Files is quite simply a worldwide phenomenon. It became much more than a popular television show. This entity, this excitement that is The X-Files, exploded beyond mere media to become a part of our culture. As more and more fans felt the need to connect and talk about the show, huge conventions began to be held on a yearly basis all over the world. The show spawned a theatrical movie, best-selling novels, comic books, interactive games and gave birth to an immense online community. Fans just couldn't get enough. The show, quite literally, took on a life of its own. In essence, it became its own "otherworldly" experience.
Now, in this amazing collection, you can relive that excitement with all nine seasons of The X-Files plus both theatrical movies.
Relive FBI Agent Fox Mulder's desperate search for the truth ever since witnessing the alien abduction of his sister when he was a young boy. Follow Agent Dana Scully as she makes the incredible journey from sceptic to believer as she and Mulder encounter growing proof in the existence of extraterrestrials and an undeniable government conspiracy to cover up that truth. Then join Agent John Doggett and Agent Monica Reyes as they too become believers while delving deeper and deeper into the unsolved FBI cases that make up the X-Files.

Should easily see me through till next Christmas
And is it Betamax or VHS?
Poor description.
The picture.
It hasn't been released on blu ray yet.
It was never released on betamax.
Why would it be so hot is it were on VHS, also the full set was never released on VHS either.
I didn't think i needed to list it as DVD format.
Well, you do.
No.
Others wouldn't be stupid enough to assume it would be anything other than the dvd.
That makes two of us I have the distinct feeling is going to be slightly more than £45 for the 9 seasons + 2 films though... more like £44 for each season
Regardless, hot deal.
PS: Very poor description, I was misled and I thought this was in "ARN shot" format (you know, you take the shot of ARN commands through your ear canal, it travels via the auditory nerve to the brain where it instantly creates memory pathways of having watched the episodes).
I was sorely disappointed when I followed the link and realised it was just the DVD edition as the thumbnail of the boxset illustrated.
I thought it was released on cassette.
I was pleased when I followed the link and found it was a dvd set, as my laserdisc player bit the dust years ago.
The truth is out there....
Mate, there are dozens of DVD and Blu-Ray deals posted on here every day and if nobody bothered to describe them properly then we'd all have to click a bunch of links we don't need or want.
Just describe your deal properly and I guarantee you'll get more hot votes.
That's not the point. I didn't not describe it properly for the points i listed above.
Im not concerned with hot votes one way or the other. One person has bought because i listed this deal, i succeeded.
The points you listed don't make any sense for a lot of people though:
1."The picture" - Some people will be browsing on mobile devices and may not be able to see the picture.
2. "It hasn't been released on blu ray [or] betamax [or] VHS" - Not everyone knows this - do you really expect people to start googling what format your deal has been released on just because you can't be bothered to describe it properly?
If you're not concerned with hot votes, at least be concerned with how much inconvenience you cause people by not describing your deal properly.
I'm honestly not trying to be rude or get in an argument - I'm just saying that it would be great if you could add the format to your description in future.
I browse this site mostly on a mobile phone and it's a pain in the knackers when people don't make it clear what the deal is.
Apologies, i never use this site on my phone, runs too slow so i never really thought about that.
While everyone might not be aware of the format's it is available on, my word should be enough ?
Regardless, in respect of that, i'll edit the title just now to reflect this!
I was inconvenienced moreso by reading this.
Nice one - cheers!!
I remember getting excited about such a rumour a couple of years back and reading that Fox no longer had the original reels (maybe somebody left a lit morleys in the cutting room!) so the chances of getting proper HD restoration releases is about 0%. Still I think I'll hold out as even upscaled Blu-Rays would be better than DVDs...
I'd buy a bluray boxset of The X Files in a heartbeat, but for now the low quality of season 1 reminds me of how it looked when I watched it on BBC 2 in 1994
My hopes and dreams have just been shattered
