Someone's updated it for you
Heat from me, this is a really good deal. Doesn't usually drop below the £50.

camelcamelcamel says the last time it below £40 on Amazon was 2012 at its lowest price of £38.50, so pretty sweet deal.

Very good deal, I still haven't got halfway through this boxset yet and I got mine in February!

Still no news on when the blu rays are coming out?

Been wanting to do an X-Files binge for years.

So the gossips on Blu ray is, german channel has showed a later season in HD thewertzone.blogspot.co.uk/201…tml but from FOX, nothing official we've still got to wait.

They look amazing, apart from the occasional stock footage of cities such as Washington in SD it looks so much better, there are torrents out there of the 7MAXX german channel screenings.

I have watched the Pilot and Deep Throat episodes so far from the first season and the difference from the DVDs is astonishing.

Fox are definitely sitting too long on these damn HD 16/9 transfers.

Remember when u would pay £30+ per series.

Recently watched every episode from the pilot to the end, took about 9 mths to get through them all. End ones were awful but wasnt giving up. Watched them on netflix.

I paid £90 just for season 1 when it was first released on DVD in 2000

indeed and on vhs no less!

Paid £40 last Christmas and it is well worth what I paid for all of the content you get.

Just beware of the casing the DVD's are in as I cracked OH's accidentally. It's a little bit flimsy.

I was keen to re-watch too, given that my original collection is on VHS cassette, but I had heard a UK Blu-ray Disc collection was planned for this year, or next. It is looking very doubtful for this year as a release mid-November onwards would catch Christmas sales. It is too late for that now.

Mind you, a UK Blu-ray Disc set for Gerry Anderson's "U.F.O." has also been rumoured for years, & only the Japanese market has had one so far, so I am always doubtful of such discussions & the authenticity of the sources (especially as we have missed the 20th Anniversary of the first season of "The X-Files", & will have to wait until the year 2018 for the 25th Anniversary).

Such a shame this is a "Deal" from The Hut Group.

Poor packaging, resulting in damaged goods, & no idea when an order will be a) in stock, b) despatched, & c) delivered (although, I appreciate that delivery is out of their control).
