    Just in case
At least you got enough drink to last the weekend.
I haven't tried the 10yo but I always drink the 12yo when flying ANA, the other Whisky on offer is 12yo Chivas and IMHO the Yamazaki beats that hands down :-)

This is a great deal. Wish we had a tesco near us.
I love this whisky, you would never think it was a 10 year old, more like an 18.

I think I need a stiff drink after reading that, if only there was a decent Whisky deal... well what do you know!
Not heard of Japanese whisky befor would like to hear how they compares to it Schottish counterpart

Very well. The japs are fanatical about whisky, they import vast quantities of it from scotland. These tend to be more floral than peaty, however the japs are the master imitators of the world. If you need proof just look at Honda, thats how to make a Rover!!.

I'll be off to Tesco tomorrow to see if this offer is on there. Yamazaki is exceptionally nice Malt Whiskey. The Japs do just as good a job as the jocks!
Scottish whisky is not the Rover of whisky its the Rolls Royce.Maybe if they decide to make Gin it would be a Lexus and london Gin would be a Leyland Allegro or Marina comparatively
This is a good whiskey. If available at this price it's a bargain

Hendricks Gin is excellent, as is Blackwoods.

There's no reason why the Japanese whiskey shouldn't be excellent though. Similar climate and soft water like Scotland.
You can't beat a proper peaty malt on a dark winter night though. Laphroaig or similar.

I know this refers to the 25 year old, but this just shows that rather than being just good imitations, some Japanese whiskies are actually amongst the best in the world.

Who said it was? Read what i have said. I have said that Japenese whiskies compare very well (although distinctly different) with scotish whiskies and that the japenese imatate products very well indeed. When Honda was first started it copied, part for part (from memory alone!), the Rover designs of the day - literally to the letter, my point was the japs copy things fantastically well when they want too.
    Good whisky!

... if you can find it

    Hot!
    None in Tesco Extra Stirling.

Really wouldn't travel around looking for it,but if you're in a Tesco (Dudley is a very large Tesco) keep an eye out.
Very nice by the way, used to drinking The Singleton and i'd say this was better...but whiskys are all down personal taste.
    None in Eston or redcar
    None in Carnforth or Morecambe
Forget the whiskey, tell me more about those shrubs
None in Prestwich. Amazing price, though. I tried to get some at Christmas but everywhere had sold out by November, at any price
