if you play around on the site there are quite a few deals that look OK prices. the Virgin flights are Sun Mon Thur so any combo of those with accomodation pull up the decent prices with direct flights.

kennedyco

Havana is a dump too, Varadero is lovely.

BeerGoggles

That was flights only, accommodation and food was and was extra.£1400 for 2 people. That's 2k in total.

holidayguru

That is a cracker of a deal as well this one includes all drinks and meals on Varadero beach

howbord

Hot deal alert the price is now £599!!!!!!!!!!

bigdarlodave

I agree, the hotel we stayed in in guadlarvaca was not as good as the staring it gave, but I would go back again tomorrow as the experience was fantastic.

holidayguru

Just looking at a flight only with virgin Atlantic which is over £800+ so this needs some more heat :-) So save £100+ with hotels and food and drinks for your stay at the beach that's a hot deal

theatrical

That's a great price - the flight with Virgin would cost that on it's own - the Havana accommodation is a bit way out though ..

martinmr2

never, we stayed at a three star hotel in Guardalavaca (other side of the island) and it beat most European 4star hotels we've stayed in. would definitely recommend Cuba to anybody who can endure the flight time.

Hot, well temp wise anyway, I'm out in india now and it's hitting 45 in the day and dropping to a low 27 at night, been here in may before and was far to hot to walk about comfortably in the day time. A great place to visit but December and January are more bearable temp wise.

holidayguru

I guess that would make this a super hot deal then lol, but yes your right April and May is hot in this region of the world. Just need to pack loads of Kool spray :-)

joyf4536

Hope you like temperatures in the mid 40's

Hi Husain, Looks like the hotels are not that bad according to trip advisor reviews The Surya in Delhi, gateway hotel in Agra and fortune select in Jaipur

Stayed in Club Amigo for a fortnight last sep/oct. Was very wary after reading reviews on tripadvisor, but was happily surprised and really enjoyed myself, the only thing i would say is upgrade to a villa room (sea veiw) before going out there as these rooms are really nice and seprate from the hotel (the hotel is very 80s, and is quite dated and needs a little repair, but was very clean while we were there). I would reccomend the hotel and cuba especially to anyone.

darkman13

its the rainy, hurricane season, best time to go is over winter here but the prices shoot up over a grand.

mbilko

Dont touch this...was on this trip last year and both hotels r shocking.........

bobpistis

It's not the best period of the year to go to Cuba. Most rain falls between May and October. That's why it's cheap...

EBT

I was in Cuba June lst year, the weather was amazing, seen rain on 2 days out of 14 for about 2 mins each time.

I'd disagree about the people... 90% of people in havana are shady as (insert profanity!) Lots of Tony Montana types!

eld1985

We have travelled to the Domimican Republic 3 times, each being in the hurracane season - beautiful weather-boiling. I know its a different place, but similar.

alexs80

Weather should be fine now. Hurricane season is usually over by end of Sept. Vradero is a really great beach place with fabulous resort hotels so, if there is bad weather, you shouldn`t be troubled. However, Havana is crumbling and it is an acknowledged fact that buildings do collapse in high winds. Nevertheless...a visit to Hvana shouldn`t be missed. Great countrt, unspoiled, with beautiful people.

geriatrix

We did Cuba with Holiday Place this year - different resort and hotels though. I was expecting the worse, but actually it was tremendous, we had a great time, and no problems at all, and it was a super price too.

went to the domincan with theholidayplace a couple of years ago and they were fab, and no probs what so ever. sound like a good deal to me

I am looking to go in Dec for 2 weeks...any deals? cheapest i found was around £300 per adult

brightsky

maybe its because they like it so much as i do looking forward to emigrating to luxor in new year and i have never had a problem with the people there and i go 4 times a year, been going about 12 years now,im from london and its safer out there than here

kikboy

[QUOTE=FTCom;8269594]I can't comment on Luxor, however two years ago my wife and I went to Cairo, and was vowed we'd never go back again. Apart from having our taxi hijacked, caught up in a massive street brawl, trying to be sold crap art work and trinkets, having to ride upto the Pyramids on horses that only had minutes to live (and would be better off dead), and also kids being brutely whipped by the Tourist Police out on the sand dunes Awesome - that's amazing. Was that all included in the package or did you have to pay extra for these experiences. Where can I book this one?

wombat6025

You seem a little OTT on this with your "systematic hatred" comments etc. - but as you say it's up to the individual. In my experience and (most others reading the comments) tourists are not made aware of any hatred of westerners in Egypt and I very much doubt it exists except for an extemist minority. Yes you will be pestered almost constantly by beggars / street vendors, yes women (and even men) dressed (in their eyes) as someone with loose morals will receive unwanted male attention and may be reviled or ignored by others and yes outside of the tourist resorts you'll see extreme poverty.

JonnyTwoToes

Late 90's. Oh, and now they have 'tourist police'? I feel a lot safer. Do the terrorists know they aren't allowed to kill people now because of the 'tourist police'. I'm afraid the 'tourist police' (of any kind) won't be able to repress a systematic hatred for anything other a muslim way of life. I witnessed european women being spat on in the street because they chose to wear less clothes that what they maybe should have done (in a 40 degree heat I didn't blame them). So it's up to the individual I guess. If you want to be one in a long line of people being forced onto a conveyer built and shuffled round these historic monuments whilst being constantly pestered for cash and tips from underprivileged kids then go for it. Having been there, I'd rather sit in front on the History channel to get my fill of Egypt. in future.

Billy Butlins In Jamaica........;-)

DKLS

Makes me more interested in the holiday if rug rats are banned. Northing worse than screaming kids around the pool to ruin your peace and tranquillity.

I also heard that children are not allowed. Should they go under for discriminating against minors?

Geordie.Girl

Of course.

Ive heard of gay only hotels...should they go under too ??
