Got my copy off a naughty site, didnt cost much

Wow, I paid this price for it 14 years ago

LOL I used to play this all day when I was like 10/11

Can't bring myself to vote really as it's been cheaper on GoG sales and is always in the 3 or 4 for £10 deal at my local Game/Gamestation. Good deal if you only want the one game I suppose. Note that buying it on GOG is DRM free too... just saying...

On a side note, if you get this, make sure you download and install Corsix-TH (http://code.google.com/p/corsix-th/)
It makes it "More playable" on modern systems and adds a map editor and zoom capability. All you need for that mod to work is TH installed, just open the mod and point it at the TH directory. Viola!

I enjoy the Rat Killing levels. oO

Thanks for the tips! X

GOG version is better since you have no worries about running such a ancient game on a modern rig, as it will come pre-installed with dos-box to save all the hassles, unlike the cd version which will be an absolute sod unless by chance your are running a windows 98 rig still.

Popping people's head's was the best!

Great game, but it gets really hard in the higher levels with the epidemics!

I got so addicted to this game!

Can anyone confirm that this will work with windows 7? Thanks!

anyone remember shooting the odd few rats running about?

Great game, where are the new versions?
Another case of gaming gone bad.
Even the PSone version used to sell by the bucketload at the indie I worked at, there is bigger market than ever for these games.

YEAHHHH!!! this game is awesome!!

Lol wierd, just installed this the other day! Fancied a bit of nostalgia...

I have the original disc somewhere that was bought back in 1998, but i downloaded a *ahem* copy. (Though its technically not illegal as i own the original game anyway)

People interested in Theme Hospital should check here: code.google.com/p/c…th/

It's a project to re-engineer the game, currently runs on Windows, OS X and Linux. There's even an Android build, runs on my SII, would be better on a tablet.

Great game back in the day, prefer something new nowadays but voted hot

Bought this game when it first came out and still play it now and then. A lot of fun, although the AI leaves a bit to be desired at times. Is bloody frustrating watching your patients die cos they've not picked the shortest route to a treatment room...

I used to play this game when I was 16.

So does this version run on Windows 7? Personally, I would prefer to own a physical copy of my game rather than a digital download like that from GOG.

Haha, this is awesome. I played it recently (again), on my XP SP3 laptop. Not quite sure if it runs on Windows 7, and probably won't run on Windows 8.

Quality game though and hours and hours of fun for a tiny price.

Warning! Incoming patients with bloaty head!!!

Most of the good classic developers closed down or were taken over by EA.
Its a shame as there are a lot of classic which given a reboot would sell both to people who played the originals or on the merit of the games themselves.

On the topic I brought Theme Hospital on the GoG deal a while back and love it.

"Coughs and sneezes spread diseases!"

Buy it now!

only dense question but you can get this or similar to play on ipad? Thanks

I tried running my old disk on Windows 7 with DOSBox and it was very flaky. However, Corsix TH is brilliant, runs perfectly on W7 64 bit, and as others say, makes it a great deal more playable, plus - it's FREE!

"Two Surgeons Required In Operating Theatre"

FYI Guys - This does run on windows 7 64 bit without issue. Just tick all the boxes in the compatibility tab EXCEPT COMPATIBILITY MODE
It will slow the game down to a snails pace if you set it to run in Windows 98 or XP compatability etc

Anyone remember the entire secret level of shooting rats?

It works fine for me on Vista, not sure about 7.

Corsix TH is so buggy, I get half way through and the game just stopped letting me get any futher, no matter how many times I tried! They really need to release these classic sim building games on the tablets

This game needs to come to iPad!

Isn't this the game the government uses in their "medical research" when deciding on NHS policy?

It does... I got it working this week with a bit of tweaking (see post #27 above)

You should use this wonderful thing called Google. I couldn't install an old version I had on my sons laptop so I did a search on there and low and behold there were the instructions. Now my son has the pleasure of curing Bloaty Head and Invisibility.:)

Corsix-th is available on android, its in the play store. Bit buggy compared to the original but decent enough to have a quick play

Awesome. I can neglect peoples care just like they do at Stafford Hospital!

I used to love this game, until I played it with my housemate over our 2 PC's with a crossover network cable. He figured out he could win against me - with me manfully doing my best to provide a good hospital - by just throwing bombs at me. I can't even remember how the bomb throwing was done now, but once you've found something like that, a game is dead.
