Love this game, gutted it doesn't work on Windows 7

It should work in Dosbox.

What's dosbox?

Theres an Open Source version now : code.google.com/p/c…th/
Bit buggy but playable, they realease a beta every 3 months

...the hospital administrator is cheating

Is it easy to install and use? I'm not hugely technical!!

You'd probably be better off giving the open source version a go as kratos suggested. Tried it a while back and seemed to work reasonably well

I think you might need the original files from the retail disc to play the open source version, as it uses copyright graphics files which they haven't replaced yet- at least that was the case last time I played it. You also don't need to run it in any emulation program's as the installer and game has been made to work with most OS

surely this will just run in compatibility mode?

quality game, think its same price at play too

You can get it to work, but it's not easy or straightforward and it depends on what version or windows, or what OS you have. Thats why they started an open source version...

I think I managed to get it working on Win7 64bit but the graphics were messed up and glitchy, and the resolution was terrible. Open source allows high resolution and higher zooming, which helps! There were a few bugs in Beta 5, where patients would get stuck; but beta 6 is out now and that might have fixed it- not tried! Theres lots of new features too!

I've already got the game, had it from years back, just never realised there was a way of me playing it again

Anyone worried about this not working on windows 7 shouldnt be worried. With a bit of tweaking and googling you will be able to get it to work, really doesnt need an expert. Classic game, pure genius. Everyone should have this.

Brilliant Game. Might have to get it installed again :P

That really depends on what configuration you have, for me it did not work under any compatibility mode.

if you have a ps3 im sure its on the psn for £5 i bought it a whilee ago, i use to love the rollercoaster world one aswel.

this game absolutely holds up. they should release a mobile version or something, i bet it'd make a well deserved killing.

Incoming patients with Bloaty Head!

I could never do the last 2 levels without cheats..

I'm buying a copy for Andrew Lansley (_;)

Sick wave!

We do apologise for the amount of litter

It is a shame that EA won't allow GoodOldGames to have this.

Not sure how true this is but news night said david cameron was using the code from this game in his forthcoming restructure of the nhs.

Superb game, played it a little while back and they just don't make games like this anymore! (shame).

As for Compatability mode, this only does so much, you can install 'XP mode' and run that (like an XP emulator but its not exactly quick & easy. However as others have said with a little tweaking you may get it working fine, or go open source.

hot, just ordered, honestly a fantastic game

Fantastic game, they don't make them like this any more.

Quality game, I remember buying this in Our Price when it came out!

Not as good as Theme Park (the original), but still good fun. Could never finish the last 2/3 missions.

Looks interesting. im currently playing roller coaster tycoon 3 where you can ride the coasters surely it cant top that?

I once tried to copy mine onto the computer and got this message atc.alexcollins.org/the…png

£2.99 seems a bit steep for this, surely they go a fair bit cheaper on eBay?
