Not sure about the claims of hot, I bought the 400ml one and it stays cool for around maybe 6 hours, definitely not 24. Hot for around the same.

Was that with grub / soup in it gooner? Or just tea or coffee?
It was for soup, as my dad was in hospital. Piping hot at 7am, then served to him at 1230 and it it just above warm i'd say. Still not too bad but don't expect their claims to be correct. It looks nice and high quality though.
What's 700ml in real measurement? 5 cups of tea?

With that, I think you just won the Internet.
cant find any stock
Tip: if putting hot stuff (soup, drinks etc) into it, if you pour boiling water into it first to warm up the metal, then chuck the water out and add whether you want to store in there, then the contents will stay hotter for longer. I guess the same applies for cold but just pop it in the fridge first.

An American cup measurement is, I think, 240ml.

Mugs are around 350ml

So work on it being about 2 mugs worth
Worth taking out an extended warranty on this.
I wish to complain. I will not be alive in 50 years so will therefore be unable to take full advantage of the warranty. I demand a price reduction. Now! Every minute matters!

I need one for baby milk bottle would you recommend this
These do have a 50 year guarantee it is not a typo.
The thermos website says lifetime guarantee then goes on to say 50 years which is a bit worrying, let's hope a lifetime is a little more than 50 years!

Did you rinse the flask out with boiling water beforehand? This makes a difference.

I think you'll find it's standard manufacturer speak, lifetime means for the lifetime of the product, not the customer! So if a product is designed to last three months, the lifetime guarantee covers it for...three months!
The warranty is utter balls, unless things have changed...
When I bought the very similar ones on a dunelm deal some years ago I rang (uk stanley) & asked about warranty.
It boiled down to zero registration being available... ergo if you haven't got your printer paper receipt then you are stuffed, so don't expect it to be honoured in the real world.

That is "faux" warranty fixing that basically makes the buyer fall at the 1st hurdle.
When you consider that most receipt papers fade after 12+ months in normal light conditions or fade over time anyway you can pretty much write off assistance for plastic / weld failure down the line when trying to prove "original ownership"

This is what people should be doing from the outset, "tempering" a flask for use, so there is minimal heat / cold shock pulled through the material in order to stabilise temperature...

But people act dumb these days (spoon fed). ...I did test my smaller unit to pre-chill in the freezer both over night & for multiple days, ..frankly the stanley was rubbish dealing with cold / keeping things cold.

It was ok for small portions of chilled (slightly) or warm-ish food for my daughter at school but the lid was a total nightmare (too smooth) to open when a vacuum has formed, (it's slippery) ..so anyone with atrophy / small hands etc will possibly have a problem gripping & opening this lid variant which is prominent across the brand/ range

I get it, I do, however what about when sales are archived / lost? you are left with uncertainty.
Also how long will you remember in this consumer world that you even got it from argos down the line?

Credible warranty offers are ones that allow you (& encourage you) to register physical product at the brand HQ.

Hi yeah I did, you can feel the heat loss as the bag it's in becomes warm, still good though, but don't expect too much.
Great price but the 50 year warranty worries me. Knowing my luck mine would break after 51 years and then I'd be stuffed

Did you prime the flask?

Doesn't sound right. Mine literally cooks food for hours and comes out quite hot around the same time you quote.

I use same flask every day and like you say he or she is doing it wrong. I fill it with boiling water close lid tight and leave for 5 mins whilst warming up my soup that's at 6am and its still roasting at 2-3pm.

Ok I didn't do that, I just put some boiling water in it for a few seconds, thanks. Dad is back home now, hospital screwed him over sadly, he is in much worse condition.

Really sorry to hear that, hope he makes a speedy recovery - all the best
This one keeps food warm for up to 12 hours easily. Especially if its tightly packed in there.

Use them with soups, stir fries, slow cooked meals, anything.

For me it’s saying “not available for collection”

It says it keeps hot things hot and cold things cold, well I put some soup and two ice lollies in and they were ruined....
None available for collection or delivery, anymore.
