These still baffle me as to why people need to carry just a single cup of …These still baffle me as to why people need to carry just a single cup of coffee or tea, Other hot beverage to work etc with them Most work places etc have tea/coffee hot beverage making facilities when you get there anyway We all used to use a Flask not so long back then at least you could have more than one drink without having to go back and refill it everytime which you would just do with a normal mug or cup

Maybe people who have an 1hr30 commute, both with 30 mins walk each side and no guarantee you will get there due to northern fail poor service.

This vs a lifeventure thermos flask they sell at most outdoor shops?
Can not fault this, even fell over in the car foot well and did not leak

The 50 year guarantee offered on Thermos King stuff would sway my choice.
I've had one of these for a couple of years and have been very impressed with it. It really does keep drinks hot, to the point that I have burnt myself by drinking scalding coffee which I made at 7 am, keeping lid closed till after lunch (forgot about it) then taking a big gulp to be very surprised by the heat.
Not that easy to drink out of but I guess that's a small price to pay for an effiecient closure system, I do find that I dribble sometimes but hey maybe that's an age thing?
Great quality, can keep things hot or cold for a long time.
Nightmare to clean.
First thing I look for with any drink container.

All parts dishwasher save.
I have one of these, a Contigo and a Bodum travel mug. The Contigo and Thermos are both great and will keep a drink hot for 5-7 hours. The Bodum is pretty rubbish (Though it was the cheapest of the three) and drinks are lukewarm after only a couple of hours.

Strange comment. One cup of coffee around 8am a perfect to kick start my day. Water does after that until I’m home. A higher percentage of people than you probably imagine have no fixed work place, and no time to be messing about with flasks and the small cups they normally offer.

I travel 1.5 hours to work currently, my last place of work was 2.5 hours away.
And when there, there were no coffee facilities, only a coffee shop 20 mins away.

Sounds like you need a job closer to home.

Would be nice, but it's not usually possible.

I can make a really good cup of coffee at home, or get a free one at waitrose on the way in, at work I have to make do with instant or a mediocre cafetière. And if I only have time in a day to have one cup I would rather have it in the morning and have it be good and have the ability to go back to it over the course of the morning at my leisure.

I leave all my drink cups and bottles in sterilising fluid...works wonders

I always take bottles of water with me.

Can't go wrong with water!

After all tea is just flavoured water.

What baffles me is that all you can think about is work. Do you never go outside when you're not working, and want to keep a coffee/tea hot (whether you bought it at a cafe it brought it from home)?

It's great for a walk on a cold day, outdoor concert or sporting event, etc.

that's what a proper flask is for because that's what they were invented for

How long will one cup last you until it needs a refill then what?
