Just a passing comment, but I bought something that looked very similar to this on Friday from Asda for £2.

Not made by Thermos so could be inferior ... accepted!

I had one of these from a previous posting and it's worth noting that the lid is not held onto the cup very securely; for example by screwing it on or through an interference fit. Saying that, my lid had broken although was still usable, but would come off quite easily; even when I had done a temporary repair. The drinking orifice was also not that well designed and the fluid would often spill down my front. Overall and even at this price, it is not worth it IMO and, considering the brand of this product, I'm now looking for a better designed one to use.

Do you have one then , as it looks like its plastic to me. You have plastic around the section your lips touch

great bargain, super deal. Thx, X)

Just ordered 2... I was given 2 of the poundland ones, they are rubbish... one lost its base the first weekend I used it, the other developed a lose liner the first time I washed it. My current 4 year old Thermos one has survived 4 seasons of weekends at race circuits and working on my car outside. Quality speaks for itself. I didnt get the posted deal, but have 2 coming cheaper than I could have got locally.

bought this 2 weeks ago- same price.
identical to one bought 4 yrs ago.
anoying sticker is v hard to peel off.
NB. it is NOT dishwasher safe (but i do it anyway!)

£0.19 now, but P&P £4.5!

shows as 19p now.... ???????

+ 4.50 delivery

How do you get this for £2.43.

Says 19p with £4.50 P&P now!

Just delivered, definitely not steel inside, they are plastic inside - should any further confirmation be required.

The Thermos one I have came as part of a set with a flask and it has a plastic inner, but it is a good quality item having survived much use and abuse (and the dishwasher) also it requires more than a quarter turn to put the lid on.. another weakness of the cheapies. Having said this I got an email 2 days back saying my items had been dispatched, then last night I got a refund notice due to them being out of stock. The Seller as "SHIPPING TRADING COMPANY NEWCASTLE LTD" otherwise STC.. so be aware that even when you are told your purchase has shipped, it seems that isn't solid fact. I wonder why it is that these companies can run system to take payments and yet seem to have no linkage to stock control.

Oh well I am still stuck at only 1 item posted that I ever managed to actually get

Well these don't have any turn to put the lid on at all - there is no screw/thread, its a straight push on with a bit of a flange. It even comes complete with a sticker that says"This product is not leakproof, keep upright when full".

I think they might be going back.
