Are these actually any good? I saw them a few days ago in an email from Lidl but thought pfft, they'll be like toy one's for that money!

will these be any good for seeing into neighbours windows???

I have a pair of these, they appear on here a few times a year, fantastic value and build quality. You will not be disappointed.

You often see them ebay a week after the lidl deal has ended for £30 plus.

I don't know about these specific ones, I bought some similar cheapies from Morrissons a while back and they were awful, colour distortion, flare, low contrast - completely useless.

Definitely a try before you buy situation I think

I just don't know what people see in them...

Don't disagree with trying before you buy, but as other people have said who've bought the Lidl ones, they are fantastic value for money. They were more like £9.99 when I got mine a couple of years ago, and I've found them amazingly sharp and bright - easily comparable with pairs I've tried costing a lot more.

I shall try a pair out in the shop, I don't care if I get funny looks lol. Thanks chaps.

Absolutely superb deal. Bought my young 'un a pair of these christmas before last after reading reviews and I was well impressed.

I've spent a lot of wedge on binoculars in the past and the difference you get at £700+ is pretty special, but I could find very little between these and the majority of 'name' (i.e bushell, opticron etc) bins under a ton.

Great spot, heat and rep!

Bought a pair last year for £15
These are very Good and BAK4 Prizms too thats usually at least £60+ from when i was looking around
also the make on mine was Bresser and so made by MEADE the rather excellent telescope makers
much better then sub £50 binos i've seen before
you can also get a binocular adapter for a tripod for around £10 online

For Astronomy binoculars are an excellent choice if you cannot afford a usable telescope ie 3" refractor or at least a 4.5" reflector type

one reason that binoculars are better then cheap telescope for astronomy is because using 2 eyes give you 4x more contrast in the image department

praise indeed...
think i'll get another pair for the car

So these are good for wildlife etc? They seem quite a bit bulkier than the modern ones I've been looking at (which look just like 2 small tubes joined together), can anyone explain the difference?

Thanks!

10X50 are usually bulkier because they have larger 50mm objective lenses, that help gather more light.

The smaller ones usually have a smaller objective (

Picked up a set today. They seem great for the price, I'm well chuffed with them.

Lidl also had compact ones even cheaper, but they looked a bit rubbish.

Picked up today. On my Binoculars I could not find ROCKTRAIL name on it as it says(picture) on the box. Could any one please confirm me this ?

Thanks in advance.

The only place i could find ROCKTRAIL anywhere other than the box was printed on the right flap of the carry case. I am quite happy with my purchase for the price! Heat added
