Seems abit steep for the spec...
Crazy spec
Agreed it seems steep for the spec but it is thin and light which needs taken into account
Intergrated gpu for Nearly £1.6k
The worst customer service by far. Avoid Lenovo if you are spending this kind of money
>>Had a look around and no one is matching this price,

Genuine question: is there anywhere else that sells Lenovo X1 Carbon laptops?

I've nearly pulled the trigger on one of these over the Black Friday weekend but the thing that puts me off is these are using 8th Generation Intel chips in all the X1 Carbons (i5-8365U, i5-8265U, i7-8565U, i7-8665U)

eg. the 5 models on the X1 Carbon sale page:
lenovo.com/gb/…17G
Intel Core i5-8365U Processor (1.60GHz, up to 4.10GHz with Turbo Boost, 4 Cores, 6MB Cache)
Intel Core i5-8265U Processor ( 1.60GHz 6MB )
Intel Core i7-8565U Processor (1.80GHz, up to 4.60GHz with Turbo Boost, 4 Cores, 8MB Cache)
Intel Core i7-8565U Processor ( 1.80GHz 8MB )
Intel Core i7-8665U Processor (1.90GHz, up to 4.80GHz with Turbo Boost, 4 Cores, 8MB Cache)

Lenovo announced their 10th Gen Intel machines (for the X1 Carbon 7th Gen) at the end of August 2019 (but no sign of them in the official store?)

Also the delivery times on 3/5 of the choices are 3-4 weeks, or 4 weeks + (only 2 models that are 1-2 business days)

Wish I could walk into a high street store and test one out and pay there & then :/

Another thing I've learnt is it that the RAM is soldered down so if you are buying a X1 Carbon, be sure to think ahead a few years as 8GB might not be enough for your needs. I would go for the 16GB if possible.

The SSD I think can be replaced by the user, so getting a 256GB isn't so bad to save some money and picking up a 512GB/1TB/2TB yourself.
