This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

I think this is good, would make a nice media server. There seem to be quite a number of these P500 Xeons around ATM on Ebay for instance.
I chose this model because it is slightly cheaper without an extra Terbyte HD. What is the difference between Hex core and six core? The man at Itzoo didn't know
The four drive bays are in the bottom of the case

this looks like a really nice cheap decent workstation type PC ? Is it legit ? Xeon, 32GB, SSD ? Seems excellent!?? any comments, right now the deal is cold but should be hot

also seems its 469 not 399 >? Can't find anything for 399 on that site

Just got one of these and it’s pretty damn good. Lots of expansion potential (6 SATA ports), four removable drive trays that can take both an SSD/2.5 inch and a 3.5 inch drive without adapters (one of each per bay), very solid build and much quieter than expected for a workstation.

When new in 2015, these retailed at several thousand pounds, so they’re not built down to a price.

If you can flog the K4200 for ~£100, this machine isn't half bad.

Still, a 6-core Ryzen would be quicker, cheaper, more power efficient and of course....new.
It's a pretty good deal for what you get, but it is gonna be hot, loud and power-hungry. For about the same dosh you can build a Ryzen system with iGPU. But as @TehJumpingJawa says, you could get 100 quid back if you're willing to go through the trouble of selling the GPU.

Tempting, but surely there's a high chance these machines have been running heavy workload for the past 4-5 years? Do they still have much life left in them?

They're just business workstations. Not servers. They'd have redundant power supplies for instance if they were designed for server use and the graphics cards wouldn't need to be such high spec. Unless there's a particuir weakness in the motherboard for instance, they should go on for years and years.
In a business enviroment, they probably won't have seen a great deal of use.
The thing I don't know is whether there is a firmware fix for the cpu, but this should only slow it down very marginally,

Thanks jasee. Have you received yours yet? I wonder how bad are these "major scratches to the case".

Good, I keep toying with the idea, but I've already got two thinkstations (not nearly as powerful as these) I should get one for occasional video editing. With 32GB of ram it should fly. I think these are the fastest machines Itzoo have ever had. Y
There is another place which gets posted here but I can't remember what it's called.
There is Ebay of course.

Cheers jasee.

I'm in the same boat. Been looking at these P500 for about a week. Once they are gone, I know I'll regret not getting one

Yes, haha, I should have asked them how many they had! The BF15 is actually a black friday deal so I don't know how long that will last
I've bought, a tablet and a ThinkPad from itzoo.
Both they classified as grade B - Minor scratches etc

Both were in near perfect condition, not a mark on the tablet and the only thing on the ThinkPad was slightly worn paint on one corner, not even the keys or touchpad were worn. Batteries seem new, as does the SSD in the laptop.

Both were also decently packed.

I've never got one of these workstations from them but from my experience with itzoo, they work to a high standard.
