Director Park Chan-Wook (OLDBOY) and his SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE star Kang-ho Song reunite for this thriller about a young priest who turns into a vampire. When the highly religious Sang-Hyun volunteers himself to be a test subject for a new vaccine, the procedure turns him into a vampire with little regard for his previous beliefs, meaning that his childhood friend's wife--and her neck-- are no longer off limits. The acclaimed Korean director has expressed that THIRST is more than just a simple horror film, but an 'illicit love story' with dark undertones. And at a time when broody chaste vampires are the new hot ticket, it's also a refreshingly bloody return to the creatures' Gothic roots.

Watched it the other day, very good. Some nice thoughts going on with the script and breaking the myths down. Enjoyable but not your run of the mill action vamp film.

I actually watched this for the first time on Monday night. It's completely crazy even by Korean standards and a lot of it doesn't really make sense or add anything to the script, including the vast majority of the sex scenes.

Definitely a good film to see if you're into Asian cinema though and nowhere nearly as insane as 'I am a Cyborg'.

Nice price! I wonder if the Blu Ray price will come down too... It's meant to look excellent.

Only seen half of it as the girlfriend wanted it turned off

Think she was hoping for some Twilight nonsense.

I love Chan-wook Park's vengeance trilogy so this is a no brainer purchase for me. Cheers for the heads up.

Think she was hoping for some Twilight nonsense.

For shame.
