Yes, I did think as much

I resent buying an xbox one and 'deals' like this only reinforce that. Hopefully the christmas sale will be great.

The bundle has forza horizon 2 not 3

Yeah, for people that own more than just Xbox I just seriously don't get how Microsoft think the Xbox sales/specials can be appealing.

It feels like every single time for anything that might be good or worth a shot, either give it a couple of weeks, or it might even be happening at the same time (see Deadpool here as a perfect example), the Playstation store will have it not only cheaper but you do also get the benefit of not having to interact in any way with the Xbox Store, of which fixing such in any way seems to be in their priorities list right below selling the rights to Halo and Gears to Sony.

Yikes. Was hoping to get deadpool on xbone instead of ps4 but not for that price

Deals of the week are not that good anymore - Waiting now for the Black Friday deals at the end of the month, let's hope there actually going to give us some deals.

I wouldn't expect much until Black Friday.

Pretty ridiculous Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels DLC has still not been discounted given that the Expansion Pass was 50% off 4 1/2 months ago. Certainly the last time I'll be buying expansion packs individually.

Heat for the effort OP

Got Forza this week as part of the Xbox bundles, enjoying it. Anyone recommend the Blizzard Mountain DLC?

Yup totally agree, Shovel Knight was on sale the other week on Xbox and Switch but I went with Switch because for the same price I can have a portable copy. Don't get me wrong I love(d) Halo and Gears but thats not enough to hold my interest when Sony and Nintendo are knocking everything out of the park. I look forward to playing Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 with my mates next year but apart from that I can't think of anything else they are doing. With the release of the Xbox one X today I don't feel a shred of regret for not ordering one because there is nothing jumping out at me. The enhanced titles don't grab me yet and I don't think they will. Shadow of War got a lot of good reviews but I thought it was pants compared to the other open world games that came out this year, I am interested in Assassins Creed Origins but not eough to buy it day one.Gears is over a year old and got stale quick and I can't see better graphics making a difference? Off the top of my head the only X enhanced game that interests me is Metro Exodus and thats not out till next year.

It’s fantastic but hot wheels is even better

Enter the Gungeon is an awesome game and definitely worth getting at that price. I'm tempted by Quantum Break too although I think it's a massive install isn't it?

Yeah, I was a big fan of what Xbox were doing since I first got an Xbox almost 15 years ago but since the release of the X1 it just feels like they've done almost nothing in terms of moving onwards and upwards with their games and it's really gotten to a point where I don't think I have much faith left.

The X1X really rubs that feeling in for me where it's an amazing piece of hardware and I want one but then when I actually think about it, I don't care that I didn't order it because why should I commit to a £450 beast of a machine when it feels like MS can't even commit to fresh or interesting games anymore? Anything interesting they do feels like it's "one and done" with Ryse, Quantum Break or even Sunset Overdrive (despite personally hating it). So then you get left with the infamous trinity of Halo, Gears and Forza which in the case of Halo and Gears have lost so much of their magic since OG Xbox/X360 in various ways. I mean Halo 5, I've been a massive Halo fan since it first came out but I can't even be bothered finishing Halo 5 since I got it on release date because it's such a poor single player in comparison to any of the rest. Gears too in some ways, I finished Gears 4 and enjoyed bits but the pacing is tedious with forced tower defence at bits and it just doesn't feel the same at all where it counts. Also the biggest issue personally for me, where are any big meaty RPG exclusives? It's really hurting for missing them in my opinion.

As for upcoming exclusives, it feels just as dire. I can't think of a single thing I'm excited about that they're doing. One you mention though, Sea of Thieves. I'll be interested in the final product but absolutely everything I've seen/played of it just screams that it'll have nothing more to offer over being obnoxious Youtuber bait.

All of it is a shame but I do really hope they can get themselves back to doing well because as it is right now I think my Wii U or even just my PSVR gets more use.

Shocking sale the last month or so, had some decent prices before that!

Yup OG xbox and 360 was the mutts nuts but my loyalty is dwindling, I only play my Xbox because of friends now and I'm trying to teist their arm into getting a PS4 or Switch.

Do you guys know there have been more special edition xbox one controllers launched this year than exclusive games.

I agree this is a rubbish week. But.... Enter the Gungeon is great and really enjoyable if you are into roguelikes. Goof price for it too.

Homefront: The Revolution is not too bad at this price, particularly the version with season pass (and possibly from other regions). Playing it at the moment and it took me a bit to get into it, but I'm really enjoying it now.

With Xbox it is always the themed Spotlight sales throughout the year where you find big savings on Triple A games. I remember black friday last year was great and I can imagine this month we will see more of the same.

I know the Xbox One had a bad start but they now offer a better experience than any other console. Backwards compatibility, EA Access, Game Pass, Game Preview, best online servers, groups, cheaper subscription, better free games each month, Mixer and now with the Xbox One X the best place to play games.

They have some freat initiatives like game pass and ea access but in terms of first party games its an incredibly lackluster system and for me ps+ offers better free games every month. Game preview is great and bc is a god send. Its all personal preference of course but saying xbox one x is the best place to play games doesn't sit right in my head, apart from a select number of titles being enhanced at launch there is not much incentive to buy one.

I loved the game but only had the basic, is the freedom fight bundle the complete edition do you know? Will all doc.

When will Microsoft do sales as cool as Sony's Deadpool is £5 on PS4 right now. The "deals" allllways suck. Heat for the post though for sure. MS are lucky they have the game sharing thing it's the only thing spurring me on to buy digital.

Quantum break has been cheaper on a few sites for a physical copy lately. (Around £8-£10) plus you can sell when done!

It decided to randomly download 97gb the other day... it quickly got deleted. Nearly bigger than my gears 4 at 105gb~!!

Yes, the Freedom Fighter edition comes with the expansion pass and therefore with the three DLCs.

This is pretty much exactly what i was saying earlier about xbox lol. I was saying if someone wanted to buy 1 console id reccomend ps4, if they wanted 2 then ps4 & switch. I just feel xbox has somehow become the third wheel. Letting the ball drop on exclusives definitely a contributory factor. Halo and Gears are tired franchises, look how god of war has reinvented itself, albeit kratos last of us edition but it looks awesome!

omg Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition well worth a separate topic

Never had any level of expectation when it came to xbox's marketplace sales. I don't think Sony's sales are much better. Chances are if it can be got physically, you'll get it a lot cheaper than you ever will on marketplace.
