It's a typo, 20 washes not 920.

good work- sadly having tried to use shopitize a couple of times now ive found it pretty bad, numerous deals missed in the receipt processing and customer services havent been a lot of help. ill stick to lidl!

Thanks for this each week KiKai. Not a lot for me this week, but other's mileage may vary.

Good detailed breakdown

very new to shopitize so pardon me pls. anyone know how to know how much discount you get with each product and also why are there 2 different deals for any brand fresh milk? what's the difference?

They/their system has always sorted it out for me when had issues: egs
- one 100% valid product wasn't get the "white tick" to validate the barcode - and via email they sorted it very quickly.
- a few occasions (recently too common!) it has put up alert to rescan receipt
- when rescanned one receipt last week still didn't recognise 3 of the 5 offers - so I followed their routine to type a comment to them, and within a few days they had validated all 5 without any more action by me.
So still got my confidence in them and their free £back for being nosey about my shopping receipts.

The App shows you for each product what £back is available.
KiKia in the weekly postings reports that via the "Claim XXp cash back " in each product details - eg 25p - and highlights the retailers which are the cheapest stockists for that product.currently - eg the President Brie will be sold by most retailers at around £1.70, whereas Waitrose currently have it discounted to £1.45 [as validated by my buying at that today & then claiming 35p back from Shopitize today].

It is NOT a discount, the shop doesn't give you any money off, it's the Shopitize App people who (hopefully) provide you with the £back amounts (which you can only withdraw once you have build up £5 of £backs).

Nearly all offers are a single £back for buying each individual product, though a single receipt can have lots of separate claims on it (eg last week I made 5 £back claims for 5 products on one receipt).

There are similar £back Apps for letting them snoop on your receipted shopping from ClickSnap [also Quidco website), CheckoutSmart (from the same people as ClickSnap/Quidco so you can't use a receipt for BOTH Apps), and TopCashback (Snap & Save, also on the TCB website).

It's a shame you have experienced such problems with Shopitize and I'm surprised to hear that their customer service has not been satisfactory for you. Maybe give it one last go before you give up totally as there are always some great weekly offers to take advantage of. And if I can help you in any way I will...

Hi dynamochic I don't understand what you mean by how much discount you get with each product. Every offer available on the app shows you exactly how much cash back you can claim for that item. If you are very new to Shopitize you may have an additional offer of free milk if I'm not mistaken. But if you have a different offer let me know and I'll try to help you as best I can...

I had problems when I started, almost every receipt failed and had to be passed to CS, who did always sort it out. "Our Clever Robot" just irritated me, I only persisted because I couldn't cash-out until I'd reached £5.
I found that using their awful system that took over phone's camera almost always resulted in a blurred image - more out of focus than from camera shake, though it had been sharp enough up to the moment when flash fired.
Then came a break-through - I went to the phone's camera and changed the flash setting from Auto to On, so giving it full power. The images now are sharp. I had half-expected them to be blasted with light at such close range, very over-exposed, but they are much the same density as before, and I no longer have failures. I was about to ditch Shopitize as it was such a pain, now it's a doddle. And before anyone asks, phone is a Chinese 5.7" Galaxy copy, though I'd also tried it with a Moto-G.

I'm still not sure about those lines that Shopitize put on the screen - are we supposed to keep the receipt within them? If I do that, the resulting image is shrunk, is way narrower than the size it was when setting up and taking. Perhaps they are there as a parallel guide so that receipt edges can be lined up, so that the receipt will be in the same plane of focus. Maybe that is what is meant by "Keep it Flat"? Any thoughts?

cheers for the advice, i may give it another go. The issue I had with customer service was that I was missing an offer (think it was the 2x packs of large happy eggs, recently)- i got the clever robot email telling me it had been sorted, but was not appearing in my activity on the app. Had to log another service ticket, this time got what appeared to be the same clever robot message telling me it had been fixed and would appear next time i accessed the app (which it didnt). What I found a bit frustrating about this (besides the problem not being fixed) was that the cs response appeared to be the same message, that didnt actually reference my original issue, the missing product or how they had resolved it, so all a bit vague and impersonal.

still, sounds like ive had a bad time with it and lots of oethers here seem to be benefiting, so not trying to put anyone off.

Thank you, will take a look.

I've had problems with my emails not being responded to and also once just a reply saying thank you for letting us know when I had attached pics of receips that didn't get recognised and I was unable to report via the app. It's really frustrating as I'm missing out on lots of cash back
I am waiting to hear about 4 issues that I have case numbers for and some that haven't been given case numbers yet.
I don't have Facebook so can't contact them that way.

In that case I suggest you try emailing them again stating your issues. I've never had any problems with Shopitize not responding to my emails. Plus I've never been given a case number for anything so that is news to me! Are you sure it's Shopitize and not another cash back site your having issues with? Maybe set up a Facebook account as they do respond to that fairly quickly. Or if you PM me your email address I'll drop them a quick message on Facebook stating your situation...

If you email them out of hours especially over the weekend then you are most likely going to get an impersonal automated response. Hopefully they will resolve your issues as they are really helpful speaking from personal experience...
