1-3 potential Shopitiezers for me there

HI, if you know and please don't go to any trouble, could you confirm something for me, the Baxters Hearty Chicken and Vegetable Soup comes up as Baxters Chunky Chicken and Vegetable Soup on My Supermarket - do we suppose that its the same thing? I can check with barcodes in the store of course, and will let you know what I discover but I was wondering what you thought? Thanks.

Sterling work as always KiKai!

For those studying the list, KiKai for each Shopitize offer does the really detailed research to find the BEST supermarket price(s) to exploit Shopitize's £back against. Of course the Shopitize App works for receipts at all the Top5 plus the Co-Operative stores too and this week there's overlap between several Shopitize offers and offers from "TCB" (ie TopCashBack's Snap & Save) where you can "double dip" and submit your purchase receipt to both sites [TCB S&S covers the Top5 + Co-Op + M&S food and Iceland]
Note though TCB S&S offers run to a different time period to Shopitize - by Mon next week, instead of Tue for Shopitize.

For those unfamiliar with Shopitize and "TCB" (ie TopCashBack's Snap & Save) and the other three other in-store receipt cashback opportunities/apps/sites see my summary on KiKai's Shopitize posting from a couple of months ago [though mySupermarket has had zilch this year, although they have updated App to avoid it reporting an error rather than nothing]:
hotukdeals.com/dea…003

As Sparklemom has indicated it is always best to use the Shopitize App to scan the product barcode in-store before putting in your basket to be sure you have the right product, or at the very least a valid product per Shopitize.

With Waitrose half-price event 57p Baxter's soups, today 50p back on...:

"Favourites - Scotch Broth" tallied on both App & Can

"Healthy Minestrone Pasta Soup" per Shopitize = "Vegetarian - Minestrone with Wholemeal Pasta" on can = barcode OK [and no sign of any healthy version on Baxter's website, ie actual can = all Baxters seem to ofer.

whereas...
"Hearty - Chicken & Vegetable" on the Shopitize App didn't want to know about "Favourites - Chicken & Vegetable" tin/bar-code. [Found Hearty is also on sale at £1.40+ - versus the half-price Favourites.]

Just emphasises the precision purchasing required - ie let the App do the work

PS:
For us (my)Waitrose addicts... Jammie Dodgers are half-price at 57p so less the offers KiKai listed = just 12p net (90% off 'regular/full' Waitrose price.

Uninstall and re-install. Contact them on their FB page or email them. Found their CS to be excellent whenever I've contacted them before.

If you're having problems with an App like Shopitize I'd try uninstalling and installing afresh - as long as you remember your a/c name and password you'll still see any £back already earned.

I know the current Android app has a few glitches - eg my Activity display has a spurious extra entry at the top saying "Today ... #1... 0%" and everytime I upload (when on WiFi) it displays a dialog saying glitch with upload despite the upload graphic progressing apace in the background and the upload tracking to the Activity display every time (and nearly always confirmed/rewarded within a few minutes). Mind you those glitches don't detract from Shopitize being the slickest/fastest of these £back Apps, and having a reasonable penalty free payout threshold (unlike CheckoutSmart's preposterous £20!).

I have no idea what this is...but sounds good if anyone wants to enlighten me

How do u claim the cash back please

Guys - earlier on in this thread I included a post about Shopitize and TopCashBack's Snap & Save - recommend you have a look at my summary of them all - it's on an earlier KiKai weekly posting - ie with links to the cashback websites and tips about the best way to get your £back paid out, at.... [don't worry none of it is 'referral' stuff - I've just done it to help others get £back!]

Oh that's a shame as they were that price on Tuesday as I bought a few...

Updated as I was wondering if there was a Hearty...: There is indeed a HEARTY range including Chicken & Vegetable - even had it lurking in my Waitrose - just it's £1.4x rather than 59p, so that got a miss

And just noticed the "Young's Flipper Dippers 100% Fish Fillet (10 per pack - 250g)" with 30p Shopitize available...
Young's own website doesn't let on, but Tesco's site says...
"Ingredients: Minced White Fish (44%) ..."
So that's 100% fish fillet that's been minced to make up that 44% fish
tesco.com/gro…833
Their 'regular' fish fingers are more 56-58% fillet fish without any 'minced' references

Edited by: "mk-donald" 24th Jan 2015

[quote=mk-donald]Q: Baxter's soups - anyone found/claimed the HEARTY version of Chicken & Vegetable ?

Could only find "Favourites...", and others have spotted a "Chunky..." - just wondering if there really is a "Hearty..." out there

When I go onto Sainsbury's and Asda's websites I can find a Hearty variety - haven't been in any store yet to actually buy them as they are both a bit further than I normally potter into on the week, but if I go on the weekend I will let you know if I find a real tin of it.

my app has updated with all those offers apart from the milk offer does any one know why that is? I'm new to using shopitize.

Trying logging out & back in again to see if the milk refreshes. If not send Shopitize an email & they were sort it out 4u...

Below is a copy of a message that I have sent to feedback@shopitize.com
Is anyone else having problems?
I believe that something is wrong with either your server or the app, which was working perfectly well on Wednesday.
I have Virgin Media cable broadband with up to 100 GB download speed. I do not get connection problems. Yesterday and today I have not been able to upload receipts successfully, and keep getting the message 'Oops, something went wrong. Please check your connection and upload your receipt again.'
I have reinstalled the app and it has made no difference.
I have attached a scan of two vouchers:
1) A Coop kitchen voucher from yesterday that I have tried to upload numerous times both yesterday and today.
2) A Tesco milk voucher from today. The app won't allow me to snap the receipt. It scanned the barcode, gave a tick, and when I try to snap the receipt the app goes to a page that says 'Complete Challenges'. I have repeated this process several times - restarted my phone etc.
This has been extremely time wasting.
I would therefore appreciate it if you could manually credit the two receipts to my account, and advise me of the cause of the problems.

compmad1

... Is anyone else having problems?...

Not major problems but some glitches here - ie have been able to claim offers, scan barcodes, submit receipts & get rewarded (within a few minutes) on Wed/Thu/Fri this week, but a second receipt today caused a bit of an App implosion with various odd wrong red numbers and unrecognised messages etc despite retaking image for them. After a phone reboot I found today's second 23/1 receipt lurking back as if it were a 3/1 receipt (ie off the screen of activities as so long ago - only found it by accident) and probably because of that wrong dating still unrecognised. Fortunately they have a simple button to Report an issue and have told them via the App of their foul up (msg says upto 7 day response time, but they actually fixed it & rewarded me within a hour!).

That said I do have an ongoing SPURIOUS error message during submission (via WiFi) that the progress green circle goes on in the background but an overlay rectangle error says something about error during upload... but then once that error message has cleared it shows on full screen that Receipt upload/submission successful and the Menu for Activity shows the receipt being processed and then a few minutes later rewarded.

One extra tip - as mentioned by KiKai - is to logout and log back into the App as occasionally that helps it resolve issues.

That said I have an ongoing 'bug' that their £ counting screen ends with "so far you've withdrawn..." and mine has stuck at £51.17 despite having had more than that from them.

As KiKai always relates they are indeed very good at responding to queries, albeit sometimes having an understandable few hours/days lag.

Edited by: "mk-donald" 23rd Jan 2015

Thanks. I reinstalled the app and then logged back in. It did not make any difference. I reported the one issue yesterday using the button, but it was even worse today with repeatedly being taken to a 'Complete Challenges' screen instead of the snap photo screen.

Logged out and back in again.Did both receipts again. Let me snap milk one this time. Both receipts rejected.
