Dang, Manchester not good for me. Good deal though
The price is good but don't think this is a flash sale level
As soon as I saw the whatsapp msg I knew this would be Thomas Cook deal.
I received some of the most disgusting levels of customer service I have ever experienced in my life from this company on a return flight to Miami.

I would not fly with them if they paid ME £300 to go anywhere.

If in doubt check out the reviews on trust pilot. Disgraceful company with shocking service.

Because HUKD is a community. I trust people views not websites, BT staff can go on and slate Vodafone broadband for example.

seaniboy has a point, without further information, MrSweeney's comment is worthless. For what it's worth, the only person I know who has used Thomas Cook on this exact route, said it was fine. I've only travelled BA, which involves hours of travelling to Heathrow only to fly back over Manchester, the saving on time alone would make putting up with poor service, worthwhile.

I experienced excellent service on the Thomas Cook Manchester>Miami flight. Each to their own

Trustpilot is always going to look bad, people only tend to speak up when they have something to complain about.
I was just looking last week at Los Angeles. Booked and heat!

Been to florida and back with tc and virgin and very much the same to be honest, it's just a big bus in the sky! if your not going business class etc you can't expect 1st class service or to be waited on hand and foot when half a dozen staff have to attend to 300 other people!
wow amazing found dates 31/05 to 7/06 but don't have anyone to go with with such short notice. Hotels will be really expensive too.
Anyway hot from me! I hope they have more deals later on in the year.

You are going to LA, Californiawhich is a hotbed for liberals and alone accounted for Hillary's popular vote majority so NO, you won't be treated badly at the airport. Besides, you are flying from Manchester and not a middle east country. Stop spreading fake news and paranoia because immigration law in UK and EU is tighter than in America

Same here. I've just left Vodafone to join PlusNet. They are porting my number today. Let's see how this does!

Just recently as last year we was in orlando during hurricane Matthew, it was coming to hit orlando for days before it was unavoidable there was absolute nothing from Thomas cook or help offered. We was due to fly home the Friday matthew hit us on Thursday.

No courtesy call , email or representative came to the hotel.

That's quiet poor wouldn't you say?

Real poor service to be with a airline is safety & maintaining of the craft.

My worst experiences in customer service was BA: staff not recognising Qantas Club membership when flying on both BA & QF flights denying me access to lounges, no other OneWorld partner lounge ever questioned it because they had proper training, BA staff commonly refusing QC priority benefits - on one occasion I delayed BA by demanding my bags be taken off a flight that cost them thousands in delays and told the staff to read my QC T&C/OneWorld manual - then called Qantas and explained who at no cost moved me to the next BA flight and made a BA manager come to me to in the airport and escort me to the same checkin staff to recheck my baggage in and walk me to the BA lounge I can assure you I was polite every step of the way, repeatedly telling BA staff they were wrong and to check to no avail, when they all would not I requested my bags be taken off

Needless to say, not one of them BA ground staff that day apologised for their behaviour or refusals when dealing with me again escorted they all acted like nothing had happened, the flight crew all knew what happened on the ground and were amazing, the purser personally attended to me and checked on me every 20 minutes - I was in economy for a short(er) haul (than usual) but they treated me like 1st Class, with all the first class extras brought to me in economy X) X) The difference between ground & inflight BA staff was night & day.

All that because a BA lounge dragon was telling BA staff at the airport I was not entitled to anything with my QC and not one of them BA questioned her authority or checked the rules at my insistence the dragon was wrong and needed training. I got loads of point and miles to both my BA & QF frequent flier, between them both I got a free flight - London to Hong Kong

Dragon b1t*h.

Not acceptable when you are paying a annual fee for most of a airports BA staff not know their job or OneWorld/QC benefits or check when a customer is repeatedly asking such via OneWorld manual or calling the local Qantas number.

I realise I may to some sound like a ****, but I can assure you I held more decorum and manner & politeness about me than that entire airports BA ground fleet. Hope that lounge dragon got sacked for bringing BA into disrepute, telling all the BA & security staff INCORRECT information.

I am assured TC cant be that bad! LOL

Later when I went to the bathroom at the galley all the girls were very nice and we ended up chatting, obviously they could not bring it up, I did by thanking them for the most fantastic inflight experience and telling them I was grateful to have relaxing BA staff not negative in the air, when we got round to the conversation part of me delaying the previous flight for my bags I told them in all honesty I knew what I was doing & knew after my bags were with me again I was calling Qantas and rebooking the next flight etc because ground staff were so rude to me I gave them pay back in a manner that was of decorum & with professional standard, the girls were all laughing & cheering me for confirming all they heard was true & holding BA ground staff accountable.

After that some time later after another purser check up the purser came down to me again with a message from the captain that should I need anything I should not hesitate in asking!

Best BA inflight crew ever! They connecting Qantas flight the next day the crew were all over me like a rash haha. What started out as a negative experience with BA the flight crew on both airlines treated me amazingly.

I always find the best point of contact abroad is not the local rep, but the Chief Executives office in extreme situations. The problem with being a Tour Op and not a Airline is the job is full on, not that excuses no help, but if anyone finds themselves in a situation like that and get no help, contact a Chief Exec office.

I once got delayed by police in Europe as a witness to a assault to appear in court next day as such & the travel company would not even really help me find a room (or new flight home) for the night at my own expense, even though I was legally serviced citation/notice of court appearance.

I emailed the CE about his unhelpful local BRITISH staff & their verbal attitude & disinterest towards me (being a witness but acting like I was the guilty party) me and my situation (the crime was 10 years jail if proven) on return and the return email was: a apology that this was not acceptable standard of the company practices in extreme situations & a 50% refund of holiday and all my outlays of accommodation & return flight expenses and 200 Euro taxi expenses to court/airport/food for the extra day - in fact they paid for the holiday and I had a surplus because it was a very cheap holiday I had booked.
Flown Thomas Cook from Manchester to Miami the past two summers. Far cheaper than rivals but is a budget flight on a par with EasyJet
Not much difference between the Thomas Cook flash sale prices and the Norwegian air standard prices.
24 Hours Only ... that's not enough time to explore LA ;-)
great price and Thomas Cook are great as long as you book a proper Thomas Cook flight and not a service operated by "Air Tanker" which are on some of the US routes.

Actually I know many people who have no problems travelling around the EU but have been stopped at US airports and questioned for 4-6 hours including my nephew

Erm the EU has open borders, if you get in one member state its free roaming. America has the usual standards as the first entry point at a EU airport.
