Via Manchester, 300 seats are available for £300 return! Dates are for October, a perfect time to visit in my opinion! 24 hours only, and they usually sell out much faster than that, so get on it!

Holiday Inn $72

Recommend Yosimite Bug for cheap accommodation if you're heading out east from SF and going to Yosimite. Need a car tho.

Tempted by this as have annual leave in October but US current administration puts me off. Hmmms

So you are saying that expensive hotels are expensive? Well...

BTW, we are planning to stay in 4* Club Quarters Hotel which is probably half the price and has excellent reviews.

Wow, I have just checked online to see the price of the hostel I stayed in while backpacking in 2003 for what was $20/night. Now the same hostel encourages you to sleep head to toe by sharing a double bed in a 'not private' mixed dorm with a friend for $74-92/night!

went earlier this year on the same deal. seamless travel without issues. also had baggage included. Yes - I found San Fran accom on the expensive side and without offering much. I stayed in the Chinese quarter - which offered a good base. But was visiting fam in Sacramento after that so San Fran stop was short lived.

If you want to be near to things in San Fran you're going to be paying a lot. If you don't mind spending most of your time on the BART instead of enjoying your vacation, then yeah sure you can get away with $100/night

As for this deal - phenomenal, albeit limited options (Thurs, Tues, Sunday only - 7, 14, or 21 days only). If I hadn't scored virgin atlantic for 600 return I would have taken this up.

Bargain. We also had CA flights for £300 this year. Amazing time. Crammed in Monterey, Napa, walking in the Sierra Nevada, Vegas, GC North Rim and Zion national park.

Holiday Inn $72

I'd love to know where you got a holiday inn, in San Francisco for $72 a night in September.

Just booked mine! Am so stoked. Took advantage of the same deal in May. Thomas Cook were perfectly okay to fly with. No frills, but did the job.

I stayed in 2006 and it was about $26 for a hostel bed I think..........now it's outrageous

Holiday Inn Stockton?

The return flight alone is showing up £350+. Only one way flight from Manchester to San Franscisco is showing up as £179. How do you get return flight for £300? I am planning to visit during mid term school break in October.

Was in San Francisco in late June, stayed near Berkeley in a AirBnB. Yes it was far out but 30 mins on a BART to the Embarcadero. San Francisco was beautiful but had a substantial drug problem. Motels near Lombard Street were working out at £200+/night!!! Recommend you book Alcatraz Night tour far in advance, we did as it ended up being sold out for months.

We used Google flights and got flight to San Fran, internal to Vegas and flight back from LA for £400. Find if you're willing to play around with dates (add a stopover) you can get excellent deals for multi-city flights. Recommend to book car hire in advance, save so much money.

Was in san Fransico last year expensive to stay but lovely city would recommend it.

I've searched and have it going in at £299. Mind you that's flying Thursday back Sunday. Short weekend.

This is a scorcher considering it includes 23kg baggage, 6kg hand luggage and a meal. Hot hot hot.

I flew with thomas cook in june, the only thing colder than the meal they provided was the customer service. "Jesus, I'm **** off already" from the stewardess prior to flight, she didnt cheer up any. Still at the price you cant complain too much.

I don't think I've ever seen American public transport described as good. I guess unless you just want to travel between cities.

Booked it but struggling where to stay for the week. Any suggestions?

Booked, why does this website make me do crazy things

AirBnB next time

Booked this deal and went this May. Flights were fine.
Accommodation is [b]very[b] expensive!! Do your research. Avoid the Tenderloin.
Food is very expensive. Even at Mcdonalds it was $8 plus tax for a Big Mac meal! Pint of beer around $6-7. Plus tax!
We stayed at the Hotel Triton and Hotel Fusion. Both were nice and we recommend them, but both took a $100 card deposit at check in which we did not get back for nearly a week! Keep this in mind!
Also took a flight to Las Vegas and spent 2 nights there, flew back to SFO and then back home.
San Francisco is lovely.

Just stay in the tenderloin. Be sure to take into account muggings when working out holiday costs though...

A lot of US Cities are.
I use priceline & hotwire to look for last minute deals.
I have never paid more than £70 for Westin Hotel or a Hilton family Hotel.
