oh dear I used to work for royal Caribbean ( suffering and disease we used to call it) is a very very old ship! either they're gonna spend an horrendous amount fixing it up or it's gonna look like mutton dressed as lamb..... wouldn't pay that much for an old ship.
Can't seem to find availability. Shame, looks fab! And they don't call me Cruisey Suzie for nothing

Do they call you it because you stalk Tom Cruise?
You have got to remember at that time of year the prices of cruises rocket in price .I tried to book a 10 night stay in the Turks and Caicos islands and was quoted £13000. 2 week cruise all inclusive at that time of year is a bargain. You have also got to remember that you won't get a nasty bill at the end of the holiday. The ship just now is in Oman I believe and is soon to be going in to dry dock for a refit by the TUI group. Interesting fact is that Thomson Cruises are 50% owned by Royal Caribbean . Remember to vote it HOT

Always book cruises on a late deal , they never sell out apart from xmas/new year Caribbean with P&O , Royal Caribbean etc . You can get 7-14 night deals for £599-£899 . Look on cruise nation , cruisedeals.co.uk .
Found the deal, looks really good. Right in time for our 10th Anniversary. Very tempting if it were for my current job swap situation, I'd happily book it now! Always wanted to go on a long cruise and visit the Caribbean!
Soooo tempted! Getting back from Birmingham on boxing day is the issue though. Anyone else travelling back to Cardiff? (_;)
With disembarkation on Christmas Day I wouldn't be surprised if this is selling for half the price, from September onwards. If your not picky with cabins I'd personally hold off. As others have mentioned, similar companies have the same routes but use larger more modern ships, the Splendour is very old school. From experience TUI seemed to think a "facelift" is a paint job and some seat covers.
