Looks like it's one months … Looks like it's one months sub.http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/images/194-5321203SPA68UC434652X.jpgI thought setanta cost £9.99 a month, if this starter pack retails at £20.99, aren't people better off buying 2 months sub instead of the starter pack?

hey the pack is free with the box i think you get one months free subscription

Depends what slot this box has, a lot of freeivew boxes you need the CAM, and Setanta normally want £30 off you for that for kick off, then its £10 to join if you like then you have your monthly charge.

Maybe this box has the slot where you dont need the CAM and it accepts the viewing card directly

You don't need cams for set-top boxes, they are for tvs.

Not all set top boxes have a CAM slot

So is this box a good one or a duffer?

I'll probably wait until they finally fix it before I venture into buying one, also in a few months I expect these to be well below £70 seeing as the prices have fallen from £100 to £80 in less than a month.http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=693030http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=693507

i just noticed it has a front usb port so now i can charge my ipod not bad for £80 hey i have version 2.0 no problems

Is the free starter pack worth anything to sell? ebay?

would be buying as a present for my grandad and he isn't bothered about football

someone on here sold the starter pack for £38 on ebay!!

I got one and it's noisy as hell...seems that some people's are pretty quiet, but the general reviews are that they're noisy.

Really so why do you need a CAM for a Topfield for starters, or has it been redesigned as a TV...funny I thought my TV sat above the Topfield :w00t:

All devices (tv, settop etc) that take cards to decode need cams, its just that some come with them built in like skyboxes.
