Brought one of these 3 months ago from Tesco when it was reduced to £61 something pounds...Purely for the 9 months free Setanta Sports that it came with! (Have since cancelled Top UP Tv Sub and SS is still going strong AND had nothing to do with SS Customer Services, which we all know is a mission in itself!)

As a recorder, it crashes more often than a Win 95 PC so I'd not recommend it...Ended up flogging it on a well known website for £50 but I doubt you'd get anywhere near that now!

Avoid Thomson and spend the extra cash on the Humax Freeview PVR...Well worth it! :-D

Thomson acutally is very good it all depends on where you get it from it seems but i`ve not seen this model cheaper anywhere

Worst PVR ever made avoid like the plague.

Avoid Thomson

I have one and to be honest its fine, has the occasional hiccup but nothing major. I am certain the Humax is better but it isn't the same price Mine replaced my original dhd4000 which I also rated.

One negative is that there isn't a windows preview of live TVi in the guide.

Positives it has a decent remote, is very cheap.

Agreed 100% and I'm surprise Top Up TV are even still in business with their level of customer "care".

Had one given, it is an appalling piece of kit, and went in the bin!

Buy one for someone you don't like :whistling:
