Can only find at £120, direct link please?

link works for me...

Link shows the £60 price for me and code works fine. Hot! Haven't ordered because I really don't need any more chocolate!

link works for me now

Thanks for posting, but the contents of these hampers are patently not worth £48 - let alone £60, or even the supposed 'original' price of £120.

Thorntons should be ashamed of themselves for using such grossly inflated 'was' prices across their range to help shift their adequate but unexceptional chocolate products.

I dislike Thorntons marketing, they have to have offers all the time, internet offers are diferent to shop offers, and different levels of shops have different offers too!

You definitely have to know all their offers before choosing where to buy from, and when, to get the best deal!

still seems expensive to me not for me

yuk, yuk, yuk. HOTEL CHOCOLAT, the only one to eat

I actually bought one of their hampers last year - was only about £30 if I remember right - but was definitely worth that - this one does seem hugely inflated but nevertheless a nice present!

Thorntons seem to employing Allied Carpets, DFS, tactics, Prices that are quoted as ridiculously high so they can then say half price and still be a bit expensive ;-)

Remember that code SNOW works for everything on the website to get 20% off, just found some other hampers that are bit cheaper too. SHop around on the website

Btw OP I have voted it hot as its still a really good saving.

I agree, the original price is beyond ridiculous & I feel sorry for anybody that has been ripped off in this way but £48 is ok....but much better with the quidco when it tracks. It should come in an attractive gift type box also....so all in all a gr8 gift for somebody!

I have just added everything up in the this and it's value is approx £100 if you buy it all separately.

Therefore with quidco and the discount you are saving a 60%.

This is really good value for Thorntons, I suppose some of you are comparing it against cheaper chocolate you buy in the supermarket!

I have voted hot an order one.

Many Thanks

IMO to spend £48 just on chocolate is obscene anyway (whatever the saving) ! That's a weeks diesel cost for me!

Yes but you will feel much happier eating the chocolate than you will drinking 39 liters of diesel!

Its Christmas - we spend obscene amount of money on EVERYTHING!!!

oO I have just ordered one......couldn't resist....Quidco only tracking at 10% even though it states 16%!!!.......shall have to submit a query!

Very true, but would then cost me more in diesel, due to the weight I'd put on, and the car would have to carry! lol

Well to be fair if you drank 39 liters or diesel you would be dead so the amount of money spent on fuel or in fact chocolate would be kind irrelevant! (ps I am in no way wishing death on you or anybody else! )

No way is this worth £100 if you buy it all separately - unless you use the undiscounted inflated Thorntons prices that nobody actually pays.

Could you give us a breakdown of your figures please? I'm curious.

How much is the total weight in chocolate then on this?

GQ Man

How much is the total weight in chocolate then on this?

Contains Milk Classics 630g, Chocolate Truffle Bauble x 3, Orange Truffle Bauble x 3, Champagne Truffle Bauble x 3, Milk Chocolate Reindeer Model 150g, Milk Chocolate Santa Model 150g, White Chocolate Snowman Model 150g, Assorted Special Toffee 625g, Chocolate Selection 456g, Mint Collection 322g, Metropolitan 373g, Assorted Fudge carton 380g, Milk Chocolate Covered Brazil Nuts 255g, Continental Viennese bag 105g, Continental Bag 100g, Milk, White and Dark Continental 550g.

Amazing, 48 quid for a "box" of chocolates, that's more than I've spent in the last 10 years on the stuff - no, I'm not joking.

I'm not a huge lover of Thorntons and think that the £48 price tag is about right. Thorntons is a good family choice as the flavours suit most tastes.

I have moved to Wales from Essex and miss The Secret Chocolate Shop in Leigh on Sea Broadway where they sold Leonidas Chocolates which are divine. Godiva chocolates are also lovely.

Green and Blacks do a self build hamper so you can pick and choose the things you want.

can you use this to get the free offer mentioned in another thread?

If you buy it separately it comes to 103.11, so inflated to start, unless it is in a fabulous hamper and not just a cardboard box!

Quick breakdown using the powers of C & P

ontains Milk Classics 630g, 12.99
Chocolate Truffle Bauble x 3, .69p x3

Milk Chocolate Santa Model 150g, 6.49

Chocolate Selection 456g, 10.00

Continental Viennese bag 105g, 2.99
Continental Bag 100g, 2.99
Milk, White and Dark Continental 550g. 15.99

For actual value it's not too bad, and if you like giving Thornton's chocs for Xmas pressies, then I guess it's a good buy

I've not taken into consideration any other deals eg BOGOF or 342

Thorntons, the DFS of the confectionery world.

SALE must end on Thursday (so we can start the new SALE on Friday).

4246 grammes plus the baubles.
Or over 9 lbs
That sounds like a hell of a lot!

Plus,

bear in mind if you were to have to drink '39 liters of diesel', you would had to have travelled a long way to buy them, as us Brits only have LITRES of diesel...

Not for me, the deal of the day must be the Halloween goodie bag from £10.00 to £8.50. Best about it they are seriously thinking this is a deal or even worse, muggs are buying these.

Surely you meant,

bear in mind if you were to have DRUNK 39...........as WE Brits......;).

If you are going to start correcting spelling on here, make sure that your own grammar is correct first oO

Give me a big tin of roses anyday

Seems expensive even with the discount. I guess I'm also a Roses fan!

You mean like, how you forgot about your full stop on the end of your last sentence?

Epic fail.

Bastardising our language with Americanisms, and simple mistakes, are two completely separate things.

Thanks for this great deal! It has been featured over on the HUKD blog ]Playpennies!

Thank you once again for placing your order with us. We wish you a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Kind regards,
