There would probably be trouble if you did your loving in the park though!
I've seen pairs of thorpe park tickets selling for as little as 99p on ebay. Looks like the alton towers accident still has an effect, hence this cheap price aswell.

You still have to pay £5 a time for parking, which is disgraceful in my opinion. Also remember that the park closes for the year soon and won't open again until Spring 2016.

Most of them are the Sun tickets which were given to people for free on new/trial subscription.

This is HUKD mate, nothing meant to make sense. We all bargain freaks, accept it for what it is.
Stayed at Thorpe Park for 2 days 22nd - 23rd August for a Ministry of Sound club night. It's the best theme park in the country I think. If I was local I would definitely be picking up an annual pass as you could easily make 3+ visits in a year to go on the big rides or even just sit in the artificial beach area on a sunny day.

Nooooooo! Next you'll be telling us that Cinema 180 has gone, or that Treasure Island train ride where somebody was given "The Black Spot" (free ice-cream) by a pirate...
Maybe off topic, but if you are not allowed to sell the sun tickets, why are Sun not doing anything about it?

I went there last month. Spoke to a woman who works there who said visitor numbers were half of what they were the year before. So yeah, I guess the accident is still having a knock-on effect.
Cold.

None in Scotland.

Do you still have to pay to park? I was there a couple of weeks ago and the machines which I thought were by the entrance were nowhere to be seen and the parking barriers were open. This was a Saturday. Numbers might be down, but it was still busy.

It's a good price for the annual pass though. I paid about £70 last year, but of course didn't get around to going. We're now trying to get in at least one more visit before the end of the month when our passes run out to try and get our money's worth. We live four miles away.

EDIT: Still says you have to pay for parking on the Web site. Might have been a shortage of staff. There were very few staff around when I went, with many queues getting massively out-of-hand before someone would come along and open up overflow queueing areas.

Thorpe Park, Alton Towers and Chessington are all owned by the same company, Merlin Entertrainment.

Not sure if I will visit any of their parks again after that freak accident...

It's cheap for a reason guys lol
Parks make money on the food and drinks and souvenirs. They need people grouch the doors to sell these so they can afford to virtually give tickets away.
You could always park in Staines and walk.
Is the pass only for Thorpe Park, or can you use it at the 2 other Merlin Entertainment parks?

Think Thorpe Park only. You need the Merlin Annual pass if you want to cover all the parks (plus other attractions they run like the london eye), but thats £129-£169.

Have a word with yourself FFS,you honestly telling me you wouldn't visit because of one accident, yet I'm sure you get into a car and travel along a road where you a far more likely to be in a crash.

It turns out that crash was caused by human error and the rides safely features were working fine until some gimp override the system. But let's face it there are far more idiots who are behind the wheel of a car than there is working at Alton towers.Wonder how many people will lose a leg today due to a road crash, but you won't hear about it as it dont sell papers like an Alton towers crash does.
