Thorpe Park annual pass £48.00

Found 9th Dec 2013
Just thought I would look on the Thorpe Park site for new rides for 2014 and saw that they are doing the annual pass for £48 - basically the same price as one on the door ticket. Obviously most of us use a 2 for 1 anyway but its still paid for itself after around 2 visits.

You also get 20% off food and drink in the park.

Valid from date of issue!

probably better waiting for the merlin pass to drop down to £100 get access to all attractions then including alton towers, lego land, chessington ect

Great deal! x and a flamedeer thanks

Nobody wants t go more than once, and as you say most of us get in for around half price anyway, you need to go twice to get near to a good deal but three times? Ok if you live next door i suppose.....

Great deal op

Great pass, especially if you live locally/in good proximity and are likely to go more than twice!

I see £55.60 for an adult. Still not bad though.

Does it ever get to this price?

amazing price - but as said it is hard to see myself going more than once / twice which doesn't quite add up. Still a bargain so heat from me.

Cheapest way of doing Merlin pass is still to use Tesco Clubcard vouchers:

These passes are all very clever marketing.

They offer you an annual pass for 2-3 times the normal entrance cost. Go as many times as you like, sounds like a bargain.

This stops you going anywhere else, which cuts out the competition.

Then they exclude certain dates of the year, meaning you can't use the pass then.

Then they make you pay extra for parking, the more often you go, the more you pay. If you live down the road and went all the time, this adds up fast.

They then get rid of all the cheap food outlets, like McDonalds, and replace them with overpriced own brand restaurants. You're kind of obliged to spend the money. If you leave the park to get food elsewhere, and come back, you have to pay for parking twice.

We still get annual passes, through the Tesco deals, but they aren't the same value they used to be. My wife used to take the kids all the time but the parking charge makes it quite expensive to pop in for an hour or two in the day.
