I seen in the local paper there was a car crash yesterday so I'd rather not ever get in a car again, it was also reported someone was beat up so I think I'll just avoid going outside all together

So you don't go on holiday on an aeroplane then? None of those have ever crashed have they.

They have actually closed down rides for safety procedures to take place here and at 2 other locations around the UK

Don't forget the latest Alton towers rides **** because people found a big clip belonging to one sitting on the floor.. So far that's 5 or 6 rides at Alton towers gone to ****.. Not saying I won't ever go, but I'll certainly let the dust settle on this for a long time.. Mind you I need to save for a decade first just to afford the tickets.. Not exactly the £17 I remember when I was a kid!!

Buy one get one free's are amazingly easy to come by on the internet, the real cost for entry for anyone that can use thin internet is around £25.

Also, I dont read the tabloids but someone please tell me that one of those rag's had the headline 'Faulty Towers' when the Alton Towers thing happened.

The press have a boner for Alton towers now and find ANY reason to print another story.
Like this story here where some kid freaked out for no reason so the ride was evacuated, but then they decide to write about the accident AGAIN that happened the other week,it's just any reason to keep milking the same story.

I've been going to Alton towers for around 25 years and there has always been at least one ride that has been closed for maintenance when I have visited and it has never made the news, but now as soon as a ride is not running for 5 minutes the press are knocking one out with excitement that it's must be a death trap and someone's life was must have been in danger.

At Alton yesterday and it's still a great day out - went on air twice no worries - I have a suspicion the guy quoted in the red tops as finding a bolt/clip took it with him. You can't find a clip on the track if you're joe public as the Mirror wrote anyhow......

Does anyone know if you can use someone else's clubcard points to get this offer? Basically I want to use my Mum's but don't want to get to Thorpe Park and find out she needs to be there too.

Cheers

Hi Jasoncrispe, you can use your mum's fine. All that you get is a printout which you scan when you get to thorpe park. You don't need to take your mum's clubcard with you.

Hi wazz83. Thanks for the response

I know this is over 3 months old now but do you know if using your clubcard points gives you an actual ticket - i.e. I can walk straight through the main gates - or do I need to queue up to get an actual ticket before I enter?

It says in text above that you can buy club card vouchers. I am sure You can't buy club card vouchers. does anyone know where I can purchase them from?

i think thorpe park is wonderfull !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
