I use one of these every year for travel, purely for data i.e. emails, Waze, Google Maps etc. Seems a good price as they're usually around £30
Data lasts for 12 months but do remember to activate it in the UK

Should have added...here's a list of 'Go Roam' countries that are supported without additional cost (according to Three)

Yes I have used these too. Very handy.
This is Three's own brand. Unlimited £18.75 per month - 30 Day Rolling Contract. Just take one out when you need it

Also a good deal but not for all. I travel every few months so at £25 it's a little over £4 each trip and no hassle each time, just grab my (old) spare phone and go. 12GB (2gb per trip) has always been plenty for me too but understand it's not a one-size-fits-all.

Quick question, does smarty ever need your credit card, even at point of purchase? Or are there other payment methods? I bought a sim a few years ago directly from the network and they used the credit card i purchased from to charge roaming fees when it roamed to a non Go Roam (Feel at home) network. Happened twice, somewhere in Europe and on the P&O Calais - Dover ferry as they operated their own network. Since then I only buy these sims from a third party

Not sure about charging or at the POP, I'm not with them. Best way to find out would be go through the process I quess.

Anywhere in the EU is included anyway and since December 2018 so is unlimited tethering in all destinations that it's free to roam in. I used to find that cruises I went on had their own network and that wouldn't be covered. I always switched off mobile data when out at sea, it was something like £2 per MB.

You do well only using 2GB per trip. I get through about 7GB per week when not on hotel WiFi, but I do use mapping apps etc. I'm one of the lucky ones that still get the One Plan for £15 per month (Shhhhh...)

Was going to post that one but it said it only had 8 minutes to go. Or maybe that Amazon's sneaky way to hurry you along

4 hrs 55 mins to go or until all sold.

Whe you add to your basket, you get about 10 mins to checkout.
