Hot from me

Thank you! This is exactly what I need for my new iPad!!

Is this capped at 1GB per month or could you blast through the 24GB all at once if you needed to?

Ordered thanks. I stick one of these in my Huawei B593 router at our holiday home in Ireland. Works a treat. Connection speed in 4G is excellent and so so much cheaper than signing up to any landline broadband package. With my occasional usage will last the fill 24 months, then chuck away and fit another one.

Hmmm, been this price for a while and am very tempted; but hoping it will be in the Black Friday deals sometime.

Thanks. (highfive). The great thing is it gives a UK IP when in france.

I presume this can be used as a normal SIM on a phone and you can top up as needed?

I think there isn't a cap. I'm sure I burned through a few Gigs on my last Holiday using Skype.

Yes, but this is data ONLY, no calls or texts whatsoever.

The dotted line means out of stock.. So although it's "been this price for a while" - it's not actually been available to buy.

I use a work sim and a 3 data only sims in a dual sim phone. I started getting nuisance calls at least once a day often more. When I was abroad my work doesn't receive signal however I was still getting nuisance calls. The calls were persistent and from different numbers. It's data only so I have no idea how it would receive calls.
Used all my data on 2 different sim cards, took out the sim not had one nuisance call.

Are you sure? Because it will connect to the local cellular network for the data and that will show as the ip address.
I tried one in Spain and iPlayer immediately detected the foreign network even though I had switched location GPS off the only way it worked with iPlayer was through a VPN.

I've used the 12gb pre loaded sims for a couple of years and it always used a uk IP.

found this one

argos.co.uk/pro…446

reduced from £89 -£49 at argos with the unit-but given at 2gb per month rather than any use-but buying for my mum who is low user
just seeing 3 one for 2 years which is probably better but i would need to buy the unit and that would only give about 1gb per month---not sure which is best

Ah, okay, thanks for the clarification. Maybe I should have said 'it's not unusual to be this price when available; but sometimes it's even 30% cheaper'. As I mentioned though, I'm still tempted!

It does actually work for calls/text but at 3 PAYG 321 rates.
You would need to add credit to make chargeable outgoing calls/text
It will receive calls and texts in the UK/EU or any feel at home country.

I saw this product, the EE 4GEE Wi-Fi Mini 3 on sale in store at Currys last Friday for £9.99. You have to buy a contract with it, but I have done this in the past - you buy the cheapest one month rolling contract available and cancel immediately. Buy an unlock key for £2 or so from Ebay and then put the Three data SIM in.

I have been waiting quite a while for a cheap, long term PAYG data SIM to come up again - I previously had the 12 month one which has just expired. This is a good price - great for holidays etc where you use it lot for a weekend, or a week or two, then not at all for a couple of months, repeat.

i tried unlocking another one i had a few years ago-i had no idea how to do it-the guy sent me the instructions-but useless-so i have about 4/5 mifi units all locked to ee with no idea how to unlock. would prefer the 3 as i think they are much less complicated than ee-for reception and actually getting an account set up. might look at trying it again as currently paying £15 for 2gb with vodafone for my mum

Got this 2nd September last year at £28 handy for holidays abroad and caravan used in Samsung tablet and a Huawei mifi from another deal on here as mentioned, think it was carphone wharehouse on a monthly rolling contract cancelled after 1 month supplied unlocked. works great with this 3 sim.

Yes,it got reduced for xmas, myself buying one November.

It seems a 'while stocks last' offer. I guess if it sells our at £40 then, no reduction.

Great for when there are no free wi-fi hotspots available, or I'm on a bike ride and I use "live tracking" on my Lezyne bike computer app to let family know where I am in real-time.

Sod's law, I bought a 12GB sim from Amazon last month, because I had not seen the 24GB version in stock for months!
