This new Three Mobile Broadband is an exciting way of offering the most convenient, high speed Broadband service available from Three. These Broadband Starter Kits give you excellent value - once you've bought the starter kit you'll have everything to get going with mobile broadband as the package not only offers the modem, but includes an amount of pre-loaded usage as well, so all you have to do is put your SIM into your modem, your modem into your PC or laptop and you're off.

This 24GB Three Mobile Broadband Starter Kit comes pre-loaded with 24GB of data allowance on your account on registration. This data lasts, dependant on your usage, for up to 24 months. Once you have used the included data, or once the 24 months starter period has expired, you can top of the SIM with as little or as much credit as you require at your own discretion - the modem and SIM is yours to keep.

For example - 1GB of data could let you: Send 650 plain text emails AND surf the web for 30 hours AND download 30 two minute videos AND download 60 music tracks.

The modem included is the easy to use Huawei E220 USB modem which will get you connected & surfing within minutes, giving you truly mobile broadband thats easy to use and will give you web access speeds of up to 2.8MBps. Which means youll be able to download files at a similar speed as you would at home, but without being chained to your computer. Its Internet access whenever and wherever you want.

To use your 3 mobile broadband youll need a few things. Your computer or laptop needs a minimum of 50MB hard disk space, 1 free USB port, a Windows 2000, XP, Vista or and Mac OSX operating system. Installation is quick and easy. And the great user-friendly Modem Manager interface not only manages your connection & shows you how much you've used, it displays all the messages you receive on your mobile broadband number. You can even reply to your text messages while logged in.

I bought a 12gig stick in December and I use it quite a lot when I am out and about.Checked my total usage this morning and I have used 1.1gig in 4 months so I am going to have to pull my finger out.

Voted hot because the 12gig cost me £95.

OR buy an iPhone sim for £15 on ebay with UNLIMITED internet, stick it in an O2 USB stick (now only £29) ... boom internet until the end of the year.

Does that work? Cool if it does!

A good deal .... but just a word of warning about three broadband ....

If you're not in the three coverage area you won't get any service on your mobile broadband service. Unlike the other UK provides which default to the slower GPRS when you're out of their 3G coverage area(s) - it won't work. Three partner with Orange for handing voice calls (when you're out of 3G coverage), but they don't partner with anyone for mobile broadband.

Does that work? Cool if it does!

CONFIRMED, it's how I access the net on the move.
