Three 321 (free 200mb) and talkmobile 10p an hour deals

Posted in response to the 1p mobile deal!

Talkmobile you can talk for an hour for 10p before they start charging at 8p a min and its 4p text and 2p mb of data! Better than the 1p mobile deal

Three is 3p min 2p text and 1pence a meagabyte and free 200mb a month if you sign for the data reward sim (thanks patcho)

Three : three.co.uk/Fre…t=1

Talkmobile : talkmobile.co.uk/pay…ges

Up to you guys whether you think these are better alternatives to 1p mobile

anyone using a 123 sim is daft unless it's with bundles, as the data reward sim is the same rates but with 200mb free each month.

Great post. I didn't know about the talkmobile 10p per 1 hour deal- is this to any network or to talkmobile only?

Also what's this 1p mobile you mentioning about?

Yes any network and the 1p network is bit of nonsense u need pay minimum 5 pounds a month so not really pay as you go. as ur money gets used up.

looks like the voting system is broke I vote+ and it's gone -

O2 have the classic tariff which is 5p a call and 5p a text

currently on 321 SIM, before the datasim existed. any way to switch easily?

No, cannot port your number directly with 3, just have to get a new sim and number from them.

Get a 99p EE SIM with £5 credit from eBay. Switch 3 number to that and use the credit. Get your Data Reward SIM and transfer old 3 (now EE) number in to that. Can be all done in under a week. My excellent value 321 SIM was costing me about £2 a month in data, now nothing.

Im voting HOT,Seems like an absolute bargain to me,suprised I havent heard of this deal before, I've ordered one for me and my mum , theirs quidco of £5 for £10 top up and £10 for £20 top up too. .

Might be worth ringing them on 333 , just requested a pac code for mine and they did hint they could add some extras to my account for free, didn't go down that route so not sure what they were overing perhaps the free 200mb?

I ported my number from 3 to 3 without any issues. If something has changed then simply port it to another network payg sim and back again, it's not difficult.

I spoke with TalkMobile (TM) this morning to ask why their website is not showing the detail of the £7.50 per month SIM. The man I spoke with said that Vodafone is going to take over - has anyone else heard this? I did wonder why we hadn't seen any good TM deals recently...

Patcho I wouldn't port my 200 gbp gold number into a data reward sim as you may not be able to leave no legal requirement and withdraw the international rate in the UK. That makes the usual 321 deal the best for me.

if you do a search on talkmobile they are closing down the PAYG service in august https://talkmobile.co.uk/payg/closure
so not such a good deal, Have been looking at freedompop and their £6.99 deal of unlimited calls and text, with 2gb data. but have heard mixed things.
does anyone know a cheap monthly service with either EE or vodaphone as three and o2 have poor signal quality in my area

Will the contracts end soon too! Voda ate idiots if they think having one brand they are going to keep all their customers then they need to think again! Think how many mvno EE have how much network they rent out and making money off! Surely to have someone like sky mobile or something would make them more money

It does seem mad, but i guess voda bought then to get a few more customers, it looks from the page that PAYG is finishing for talkmobile, i have been looking at delight, they seem fairly good, using EE, I was after a voda package but they all seem too costly.
I believe voda charge more for their network as they are "upgrading" the system, but to be fair they seem to be the only ones still putting up towers, and they even have a "report a poor signal area" program.
If someone can actually put out actual figures on coverage i would be very interested as this 99% is a load of rubbish, either that or I'm extremely unlucky, living in the cotswolds several areas have no signal at all.
if only someone like pebble or jump was cheaper, they could soon get a huge client base. but then 5p a minute 5p a text and 5p per Mb is probably cheaper than most PAYG networks
