EDIT:
Theres now a 30GB one on the same site which is also from Three which is £10/m after cashback.

Cashback deal with mobilephonesdirect.co.uk

Sorry, cannot post link to individual deal but it is hard to miss, if you cannot find it check their Three SIM only deals. I cannot speak to how good or reliable the site is, but they are 4/5 stars on trustpilot so they're trustworthy enough if you're familar with online contracts/cashback deals.

It is a 12 month contract; you would be paying £14 a month and would be receiving cashback at certain parts of the year, so by the end of the year you would have received a total of £72 back :
£14x12= 168
168-72
=£96 for the 12 months

This appears to be the best deal available online if you want a lot of data and want to pay less than £10 a month.

Tip: Barclays bank users can use the Barclays mobile app to scan and deposit the cheques online.

Also someone else has posted a similar 12 month deal which is 20GB with Vodafone at £11.75/m after cashback:

hotukdeals.com/dea…899

Update:
My mistake, you won't receive cashback from cheques, they should get paid into your bank account.

Cold....Go direct with three and get £55 back off quidco...

how is going direct with Three and getting less cashback from quidco any better than mobilephonesdirect

Seems to be a lot of misinformation in this thread. After the 12 months have finished you negotiate directly with Three. You are still a Three customer with a Three account. You aren’t treated any differently. With this deal or any other cashback deal.

Isn't this a better offer?32225187-fkc5r.jpgIt's £18pm and £10 after cb. Dunno why it says £8.

Since last year I have 30GBdata 200min 500txt for £15 direct from 3. If I could end that plan and not pay exit fees and get this then I would.

You are incorrect. Cashback is by debit not by cheque
"Once approved cash back is paid within 14 working days directly into your bank account as supplied by you at the point of ordering."

Doing it via mobilephonesdirect you save £72 and virtually guaranteed if you remember to upload bill on the months required. Quidco only saves £55 and a nightmare to claim if not tracked/honoured. Will take this deal out for 12 months, thanks OP have some heat

Anyone know the correct APN settings for data setup on android phone?

Honestly thats a much better deal! it wasnt there a couple hours ago, I just canceled my £8 one and am getting that

It's only £12 per month on 3 though so if you get the £55 cash back it works out cheaper than £72 cash back off £14 a month. (£89 / £96).

Having to claim cashback every two months sounds like a pain as well.

They do it like that as they know people forget to claim.

I admit it is a pain having to claim cashback etc hence the reason I pay£10 not the possible£8 lol

How many times do you need to claim the cashback through the 12 months to get the £72?

Faz I use quidco no trouble at all. Very rare it does not track and if it does not just contact them and they will apply to your account.

I'm already on Three for about 15 months, on a monthly contract now. How could I get this offer? Any chance I could get it haggling with the costumer support ?

No chance! Literally just got off the phone with them asking the same question. Best they can do is £16/month (£15 if you're a student with an ac.uk email address). Just offered my 30 days notice and will be signing up to this

I was with three until today, they did admit to network issues around my area N.W London and took 4 weeks to cancel my contract and latest calls lasting 2 hours without paying early termination fees so check with their coverage checker online or give them a call and ask for reported network issue before going for 3.

Its easy, just set reminder on your phone for every two months and when its time to submit bill for cashback you can do that online it only takes 10 mins roughly if you know your username and passwords correctly

How can I keep my existing number ?

giboning29 m ago

How can I keep my existing number ?

You need to switch your number to a different operator (I recommend giffgaff payg sim), then change again to your new three contract sim. (Ask for PAC code each time to change)

What happens after the 12 months does it stay at £18 then

How can I keep my existing number ?

Ring Three. Ask them to cancel your current contract (serve 30 days notice), they'll turn your current number into a Three PAYG. As soon as that happens you contact the Three PAYG team and ask them to move the number to your new Three account you've just purchased above :D. Tried and tested, a bit of faffing about though. Mine was £23 per month, and if I follow the steps on MPD it'll end up being the equivalent to £10 per month. Result

Still more expensive anyway though...

I don't want to be locked into 12 months as I'm going abroad after chrimbo...anyone know of any good month by month plans?

Do you get the personal hotspot through movilephonesdirect?

Recently bought this 12gb one from them with automatic Cashback slightly dear but worth it if u afraid of forgetting claiming

yes as you are getting threes advanced plan

I have used these guys before. Advantage is that they pay straight into your account, unlike others who send you a cheque. Disadvantage is that they can be a bit fussy about the cashback. They declined 3 of my claims with no obvious reason. Took a few emails to get it sorted, but eventually did get all my cashback.

What deal is this, as I always forget to claim? Do you have a link?

Also possible to get a £25 Amazon referral. PM if you are interested

There's a retention deal I got on Three:

£6/m - 12GB Data, 200mins, Unltd Texts

Yes.and that's the negative point of this deal vs getting direct from Three.

getting direct from Three is better because once 12 month is over you can negotiate with Three to get same price or better deal to stay.
with this deal though once 12 months is over, you'd be paying full £14 / £18 a month and not much base to nagotiate for lower price.
also with direct from Three you don't need to send monthly statement.
easily beats this deal even though cash back is a little less.

What the post previous to your means is that if you go via three - you pay £12 pm straight off. At end of contract that's your starting point with retentions to get a good deal. If you go via MPD, you're paying £14 pm straight off, so possibly won't get such a good retentions deal. You're correct that at the end of the contract, you're still dealing with 3, in both cases.

All being well, the best deal for the lower tariff is via TCB/Three - £60 TCB, £12pm for 12GB = £7pm
MPD better for the 30GB deal.
