What is Sim only?
SIM only is just that, where you only pay for the minutes, texts, and data you use on your sim-card.
You will have to supply your own device i.e phone/tablet to insert the sim-card into, hence why it's called 'sim only'

sorted byI have an unlimited 3 sim card in a 5G router, I get 300mbps (sometimes 380-390) and not had an issue with it, have had that setup since last Feb now so 13 months. We use that as our home broadband and it copes easily with downloading 100gb+ xbox games in very short timescales, streaming 4K netflix to 2 TV's at the same time, etc etc. So I have not got a clue what you're on about! And I'm not in London or another big city centre - I'm just outside of Blackburn.
It's really annoying when people make a comment like yours without backing it up with any reason or explanation of why! (edited)
I also live in the area where we have solid coverage and no speed issue at all.
I’ve been with 3UK since 2013 and overall they are very good, some areas are a bit patchy but in London I’ve seen rock-solid 4G/5G and speeds topping out at 1.2gbps. I’m on the move a lot and had plenty of chats (via data and voice) in trains / cars (handsfree) and had no issues.
Why (if you have good connectivity in your vicinity)?
Also cashback and if you recommend a friend you both get a month free. Ive had 4 free months already
