Prices may rise annually - full details here

Mobile contract providers tend to increase your monthly tariff by inflation - and exactly which measure depends on the network:

Three: a Fixed Annual Price Change, 4.5% this year.
O2: RPI plus 3.9%.
EE, Vodafone: Consumer Price Index plus 3.9%.

The date of the adjustment also varies by provider:

Three: April
O2: Announced in Feb, effective from April
EE: Announced in Jan, effective from March
Vodafone: Announced in Jan, effective from April

What is Sim only?

SIM only is just that, where you only pay for the minutes, texts, and data you use on your sim-card.

You will have to supply your own device i.e phone/tablet to insert the sim-card into, hence why it's called 'sim only'

if you intend using this primariliy for data - steer clear.

I have an unlimited 3 sim card in a 5G router, I get 300mbps (sometimes 380-390) and not had an issue with it, have had that setup since last Feb now so 13 months. We use that as our home broadband and it copes easily with downloading 100gb+ xbox games in very short timescales, streaming 4K netflix to 2 TV's at the same time, etc etc. So I have not got a clue what you're on about! And I'm not in London or another big city centre - I'm just outside of Blackburn.

It's really annoying when people make a comment like yours without backing it up with any reason or explanation of why! (edited)

£56.95 cash back on this through Topcashback so cheaper through them if you get the cash back never had a problem myself. Makes it £11.25 per month (edited)

I also live in the area where we have solid coverage and no speed issue at all.

Usually the ‘3 are bad (insert some awful spot review evidence here)’ comments are users who saw ‘price’ signed up and locked themselves in for 24 months before trying it first, when they can check the network for the price of a £1 PAYG SIM.

I’ve been with 3UK since 2013 and overall they are very good, some areas are a bit patchy but in London I’ve seen rock-solid 4G/5G and speeds topping out at 1.2gbps. I’m on the move a lot and had plenty of chats (via data and voice) in trains / cars (handsfree) and had no issues.

similar to the above been on three 5g for 2 years now - we're on the edge of a good coverage area (south london) but still get 350-400Mbps. Apart from when they were upgrading towers 18 months ago it's been very reliable. I got the ZTE mobile router through the vodafone deal : looking for a good backup 5g for travelling with it / at home if needed so needs to be non 3 - any recommendations for South London / general UK coverage or even better with European roaming this summer (Greece) ?

Why (if you have good connectivity in your vicinity)?

3 of the 4 locations I frequent have solid 4G coverage (I have a 4G phone) downloads, streaming without a glitch. The 4th locating (work) is a nightmare (work and coverage). I'm happy with the service. I'm paying £14 direct to 3. (edited)
