i struggled too with o2 there.
must be a reason.
took contract with three last september - no cashback till now - declined!
I found the data speed on Three so slow abroad it’s pretty unusable.

Three was rubbish in Spain as well, couldn't stream video. EE was 4G and like home.
Make sure its the Advanced plan.

I took these contracts out inspired by the deal here hotukdeals.com/dea…095 - best I could find then. Although haven't seen anything come close to the epic EE deal last year.

Same with me and the 4g is nowhere near as good as Vodafone who I was with previously

I presume he means his own EE phone worked, the "3" phone that didn't work was his GF's.

I'm not sure that will be the case. 3 had inclusive European use before it became law so I don't see why they couldn't after Brexit.

Hi, what was the EE deal last year? Do you have a HUKD link? Thanks.
This works out at the same price as the one via Topcashback, posted earlier. This has redemption the other the risk of TCB not paying

Fair enough might not be a brexit thing hopefully I hate not having data abroad (maps and that not Facebook addict)

But 3 does not seem to work abroad in few country said by some it seems
Three declined my cashback, won't use em again, word.

3/Three used to charge it's Customers an additional £15 Per Month! (in addition to their then £20-£40+ Per Month Line Rental - whereas now that extra' is literally given as an additional freebie, now tied up within your existing Line Rental Package, etc ...

So, it's definitely not the same thing, etc?.

As 'service' given both before and after, may not necessarily be the same again, or whatever? + other 'criterias' pertaining to it may now be different also? (who knows?).

It's a service 'option' I've yet to use (both at the time of when it was initially being charged for, or since it's now become free, etc?), so I can't commit exclusively via the pro's and con's of it either way ...

But from what I've been hearing at least, there's more pro's than con's in that regard regardless. :-)

Interestingly enough, I've heard similar things said by a few people on here in the past too ...

It may be worth baring that in mind for some people perhaps?.

Excellent bit of bantry there, wd.
Three have abysmal performance abroad I had the cheek to complain about the speeds last year in Spain and was basically told you shouldn't be using your phone while on holiday to listen to Spotify..lol

Never had a problem in Rome or anywhere else in Europe and the rest of the world with three. Been with them 8 years and wouldn’t change it.
EE and Vodafone, the only two networks that currently allows 4G roaming. Here is an example of EE 4G speed in Hungary.

This cashback is from MPD, it doesn't get declined, you redeem it yourself every 2 months.

Im sure all uk networks have to let you use your inclusive data mins and txts abroad in europe with no additional cost. And thats wrong anyway because i used to be with o2 and used that abroad free ?
Seeing deals like this has made be so happy with my current deal.

I really don't know how I managed to get it (around 6mths ago). I didn't even threaten to leave...

I pay £6/m for the same as above but 200mins instead of unlimited. Before this I paid £13/m for unltd SMS/calla and 8GB data, so surprised they halved my bill and gave me more data. Who even needs unlimited calls nowadays?

Don't understand how for you say it works and my gf did not have one bit of signal the whole trip, maybe I needed to fiddle with the apns, she was with smarty which runs off three so maybe it needed to be edited

Three gave it for free before European law changed.
Is it possible to get this contract but keep my existing number?
Three seem to throttle or even block all video and audio streaming when using abroad. I've used it in a few countries and it's very fast for regular web page browsing, but video and audio almost impossible. Not sure what other providers are like in this regards.

Allow me to be clearer.. you get free EU roaming with all UK networks yes, but it’s 3G, meaning slower speeds, except EE and Vodafone on which you will get 4G data speeds.

Having used O2, EE, Three and Vodafone in the EU my experience confirms what you say.

Using Three in Spain I was unable to even stream BBC iPlayer Radio without constant outages. With my O2 SIM (tested on multiple occasions) I could listen to radio but video was a no-go. EE and Vodafone, both providing 4G, were faultless on streaming audio but EE sometimes struggled with streaming IPTV while Vodafone again was faultless.

Just my personal experience on Gran Canaria.
I've used Three feel at home and the service has been variable but perfectly acceptable considering. It's also good around where I live. Not sure there's much point criticising a network because it doesn't work in some specific places.

Ahh i see thanks for that info, so would that mean virgin mobile is 3g or would that be 4g as they use ee ?
I've just been offered an advanced SIM plan with all you can eat data, 600mins, all you can eat texts for £8 A month. Is this any good or should I hold out for better I'm useless at these kind of things!?
3UK does not offer 4G when roaming. However, I guess their 24/7 customer service via chat online will attract some customers (upgrade or cancellation of contracts will not work after 2000 hours everyday).

I have many issues with them but I need the unlimited data per month, hence I had to stay with them.
Dammit another cheaper deal a few days late for me..... I got 20GB & ayce mins/txt for £12 effective cost. 12GB would been enough for me. Have 🔥
