Prefer to use two tin cans and a piece of string than deal with Three mobile. Better still a carrier pigeon or Morse code.

Total opposite experience, mind you I've also never gone wrong with Vodafone (except their customer service).

we have to get a contract with it.They wont sell it on its own.
£5.99.... plus minimum one month contract fee, assuming contract is cancelled on day purchased. "...All pay monthly mobile broadband devices must be taken with a 30 day rolling contract..."
Looks like the cheapest 30 day contact is £10 for 2gb. So minimum price is £15.99. still a good saving
I know it say 3 mobile but would it be unlocked by any chance?

although factor the hit on credit file for the obligatory credit check.

If it helps I got one from a three store on contract and it came unlocked and am using with an EE sim. I use the three sim in a tablet. Can't see why they would lock it via currys and unlock it when purchasing direct.
I so want this - I have the 3g Huawei ones - don't forget you can order the free 200Mb/month data SIM - great for the IoTs!

All three mobile phones are unlocked. But as for the mifi's I couldn't tell you

OK, I bought this at the previous price of £9.99 as seen on HUKD. The advertising at the time failed to mention the need to buy a sim deal too, but I did anyway, still a cheap deal. I cancelled the contract a few days afterwards, and the gentleman from Mumbai asked if I wanted to cancel under the 30 day notice or within the 14 day period. Within 14 days you pay nothing at all!! The 30 day contract you pay the first month.
I inserted a Giffgaff sim card and it worked straight off. Based on this I would say the unit is sim free, unlocked. It still shows Three software on screen, but works well on the o2 network. Honest. I hate Currys and Three equally, but this was a good price and at £5.99 (if you cancel the contract) it is even better.

never bought this before but is it possible to get this if you're already with three?
No ethernet port but it does have connection for external antennas

This has been going for awhile. As everyone has said, there will be credit check when you pick it up since you have to sign up for a contract.
On the matter of network lock the last time I bought a mifi from Three it was locked. This was a few years ago and I have purchased phones before and after and they were always unlocked. I wouldn't assume with a mifi so make sure an ebay unlock is possible.

I would also like to know this, also does this use the teather allowance of just the normal data?

Mine works well on the o2 network.

That's no comparison at all, if I'm honest, lol.

Network Three uses the O2 Network anyway ...

It's like having an EE MiFi, and saying because when you place either your T-Mobile, Orange OR Virgin SIM's in there it works, you see your EE MiFi as unlocked or whatever?.

(Even though EE MiFi's are blatantly locked).

But saying that though, these Network Three MiFi's are unlocked though, so it's cool. :-)

So anyone else that's also curious of the same thing (as I've noticed a few have asked a similar question same way), these Network Three MiFi's are actually unlocked. :-)

I'm not 100% sure about what your actual question is?.

But yeh, I don't see as to why you can't have one of these MiFi's if your with Network Three already? (I am, and I did), so ... :-)

I don't see a problem basically?.

sorry what i meant was that I already have a contract with three and don't need another one so is there any chance of getting this without having to sign up for another contract and then cancel?

Network Three were formally well known (x-Years back that is), in locking alllllllll their stuff! (both their Mobiles, AND Internet Dongle's, etc? - but that was then?, this is now!).

With the collapse of 'unlocked' Outlet places like The Link, and like Phones4U, etc?, so the added inclusion of extra/another 'Outlet' also being prepared to flog their wares in an unlocked fashion, is more than just a passing welcome addition to the otherwise heavily THIN on the ground 'Market' (in that regard?), lol. :-D

That's how I see it anyway?, hehe.

Don't worry about it, lol, but funnily enough, NOPE! (sadly). :-(

You need to to 'create' that fresh Contract (irrespective of whether you intend to bother with that Network Three MiFi Broadband Internet beyond the initial 2-3 day's or whatever?). :-(

Hook it up, then immediately soon after, give your 30 day's notice, etc?.

Can these (the OP's Deal) MiFi Broadband 'Contracts' be also AUTOMATICALLY be cancelled' within a 2-3 day 'window' of getting them/having them on Contract, etc? (in much the same way as that of what those £9.99 version's of the same thing could/were?!, or ... )

As I'm really really curious to know IF I can get these fresh one's for only £5.99 instead? (as per the OP's Deal) - after negating the then mandatory Contract with Network Three (after calling them up of course, and cancelling it, etc?, hehehe).

Thanx. :-)

It appears that MBNL just deals with the backend and rollout into rural areas. EE and Three are still rivals and don't share spectrum or (generally) masts. Three started a lawsuit against EE a couple of years ago because EE was only letting them use about a third of the agreed 3000 masts they'd been granted access to as a condition of the T-Mobile/Orange merger (Three used to network share with T-Mobile)
These devices are good while you move house 😊. Afterwards no idea where they are..

This device won’t work in the US. Having just tried, after spending a bit of time researching the bands used in the US are different, even for 3G. This specific model is best for Europe, although there are variants for US bands
so why did both my UK bought iPhone and Android handsets get 3G data perfectly in the USA?

On a side note. Anyone know of good data only sims (ideally a monthly contract rather than Pay and Go)

Need about 8-10gb of data per month. Had a look a while back but there wasn't anything great so would be nice to know what others are on.
