Currys / PC World are (again) selling Three network data SIMs with 1Gb data valid for 30 days. Now £1.97 each with free home delivery.

I have used these before and they are just 'plug and play' in a Mifi device or a tablet.

If you want a fairly cheap, quick data fix then these could be for you. They also work abroad with the Feel at Home benefits - which doesn't include streaming of shows or music channels but does all email checking and internet browsing etc.

Might be of use to someone.

If you want to buy them then each 'order' is limited to 2 but it is simple to create multiple orders for 2 in each.

Nice one, thanks. Ps it doesn't show up for delivery, also can I ask can I delay when I start to use this thankyou

Thanks

Do they have an expiry date in terms of the date you start to use the sim?

Going abroad for a few days soon to Switzerland, will this data work there?

Another what may seem to others like a silly question but what is a mini sim? I have an ee mifi I think it's called would it fit in that?

It may work but the download speeds will be poor. Have tried in Italy last couple of years and almost unusable. 'Feel at Home' ??. I got one of the three mifi's from Currys and use it when camping or in the car. Great if the kids don't have any data allowance with their phones as the mifi becomes a hot spot.

Thanks yes I'd seen this but it confused me as I always thought the mini sim was just the normal original sized sim, I've never seen a full sized sim before

Anyone know how to unlock an ee osprey or do u have to buy a code off eBay thanks

Too many wasted trips to Currys/PC World to fall for these phantom sim cards again.

You have been warned.

just remember that Three will turn off the free roaming after 2 months. With 1Gb cards, you can chuck after 1 month.

I only need to for general use, eg browser and WhatsApp. Or is that still unusuable?

I found that I couldn't even browse. The foreign providers really throttle down the speed. I ended up not even using it. Tried it in the uk and I had two kids streaming youtube at the same time.

is that two months after purchase or two months after first use do you know?

Usual p#ss poor customer service from Curry's.

I've used 3 Feel at Home for a couple of years and find I get a better/faster connection abroad. I was getting 60 Mbps in Denmark and similar in Spain. Only place I had an issue was South America, and that's because their infrastructure is poor, not because of 3.

I'm no longer with 3 btw, so not being biased, but their Feel at Home deal is generally very good!

Couldn't stream radio in Spain on 3 recently, always dropped the stream after a few mins. Wifi in Spain streamed same station just fine.

I wasn't using it every day, but I still got a text to say I had been abroad for a month. To me it looks like they just count the days between UK use. I don't know yet if they will actually switch roaming off.

Store near me says they have stock but it won't let me reserve it for collection as it comes up with an error message saying they can't check stock!
