Three mobile 1-2-3 pay & go sim unlimited 4g data 300 mins, 3000 text no contract or 30 day rolling plan

I know the other three mobile deal has been posted but this offers 100 minutes more (300 mins), unlimited 4g data & 3000 text without the 12 month contract. This is a free pay and go 1-2-3 sim with the £15 All-in-One 15 Add-on option.
I don't think 0800 calls are free and tethering isn't allowed but this may help someone who doesn't want a 12 month or 30 day contract.

If you don't want to pay the £15 today and just receive a SIM card to check coverage here's the link:

I can't believe the other £15 30 day sim only got hot when it was posted months back and the rrp hasn't changed

Does this work in feel at home?

Yes it does

I always use mine for tethering. My SIM is years old though. I heard they stopped it on newer SIMs but not sure?

i believe is 2gb for tethering now.

I don't think it works with feel at home. To use feel at home your credit needs to be converted into a 30 day add on, and the 3-2-1 plan is not a 30 day plan.

From the Three website:

"Pay As You Go plans do not allow tethering. If you would like to tether, you will need to choose a Pay Monthly plan and / or an Add-On that does allow tethering."

No tethering allowed on pay as you go. You may be getting away with it for now, but it will be detected eventually and they'll block the sim until you stop tethering.

I've an old 30 day rolling contract with the £3 unlimited data add on which doesn't allow tethering, but they don't seem to be able to detect when I tether an android tablet or my chromebook, as soon as I try to tether a windows laptop they shut me down and have to reboot phone.

You don't have to reboot, just turn on airplane mode.

What are the 4g speeds like with three

can I use this with 3g my teenager wants a sim only but hardly ever calls anyone or texts just for internet really

Yes it works on either 4g or 3g. If the handset is 4g and you're in a 4g area, then you'll get 4g speeds. Otherwise you'll get 3g speeds.

By the way, I suggest that you make sure that text message delivery reports are switched off, as the they're charged at just over 1p each. Doesn't sound much, but it soon adds up. Also, be careful about putting emoticons, such as smiley, sad, angry faces in texts, as some handsets will convert the message to an MMS, which are far more expensive than standard SMS.

Because its still Hot because no other network can give you that for that price.

so wish i didn't sign a contract and got this..

Thanks for this, I was looking for a decent pay as you go deal with 4G data :).

This is a 30 day add-on though.

You don't have to have an add-on anyway. If you have an add-on then it's deducted from your allowances. If you don't have an add-on then you're charged the standard rates (18.8p/15.6p per min (EU/Non-EU), 5.9p, 4.9p per text (EU/Non-EU), 10p per MB).

Great deel!

So this vs the other deal...

tethering and 0800 calls vs +100 mins and monthly rolling.

Of course it depends massively per person. For me tethering was important. It's a 4GB tethering allowance btw. Just concerned about 4G speeds do most of you get 50MB with three? I only get 2-6MB even when 4G is shown, I'm in Plymouth but have used my phone in London etc without any improvement in speeds.

Tempting

Anyone tried cloning their phone's MAC or IP address to see if that defeats the tethering detection? If not the they must be using something a bit more sophisticated...

My payg unlimited one plan will no doubt finish soon so would be interested if anyone had succeeded...:-)

You can just download the 'WeQ4u' app to make 0800 calls for free over wifi/3g/4g

Is this the same as the 3-2-1 Plan?

yes this IS the 3-2-1 plan with the £15 credit you top up with converted to their add on that lasts 30 days.

For a moment I thought my TARDIS was functioning again and I'd travelled back in time to when Three announced this, what with this and the other Three deal that isn't new but getting lots of heat

only older customers get tethering standard... new customers have to get a bolt on, and it's only roughly 1gb I think

no tethering allowed with any PAYG and not available as an add on.

Yes, you get the same allowances to use in one of the 16 Feel At Home countries as you would in the UK* - so if you top up your PAYG credit to £15, convert this ammount to the £15 add on then it'll work in a Feel at Home country, calls made back to the UK or UK mobiles will come out of your allowance, as will using data.

*Data is limited to 25GB when used in a Feel at Home country although in reality you'll find it so slow that you won't be using it for anything other than web browsing, email, facebook and satnav. It won't (usually) be possible to do streaming services like Youtube, spotify etc.

3 is reducing internet speed from 15:00 - 24:00 to nothing ...

I wouldn't touch 3 again. My experience with customer services is by some distance the worst around. Shouldnt be an issue with a pay as you go mind you but honestly, the hassle I had during my 24 months with them was unreal. Even closing the account down took an outrageously long time dealing with the clowns they employ in their foreign call centers

Like I say, pay as you go should be fairly hassle free unless they are still being a pain with throttling and things during peak times (peak times apparently being 24/7 in the world of 3)..

Just for clarification. This is not a monthly rolling. But an add on. Whenever you want. And you can add on £5, £10,£25 gor different things. So far more flexible. And can on average cost less than £15 per month when you choose to forego topping it up for a few days.

Thank you for your contribution.

As a two year customer of Three I have never been throttled back on the data allowance. Some people blame the network for their crappy phones I guess.

As a 5-year customer of Three, I can confidently say that my speed *has* been throttled. I've used the SIM in multiple devices. As a test, I simultaneously ran a (very limited allowance) mobile broadband SIM in a MiFi in the same room and, surprise surprise, consistently high speeds. The allowance was gone in no time. I know that 3 mobile broadband has a different APN to 3 PAYG but I use both APNs on my phone, so that's not the issue.

I am on this 1-2-3 plan and if going abroad to one of their "feel at home" countries just add this add on.

Used it for holidays to Ireland,Australia and the US so far.

Best mobile network plan for me by a long way

They use packet sniffing to detect what browser youre using. I've not tried the following myself, but this looks interesting.

5 years with three .. Average use 20gb a month (no tethering) Speed always stable ... Varies between 4 to 25mb/s on 4g depending how strong the coverage is

Nice..
