That is a good deal. I got it 3 months ago and more than happy. Works a treat abroad too. Had a chance to use in France and Germany. Put SIM in MI-FI router and now using as a home broadband with speeds around 91mbps. Not much bothered with 5G, as 91mbps is more than I need. Topcashback offers £70 too(got this already)
Please try this network out with a pay and go sim card before committing yourself to a long 24 months contract of hell trust me customer service, signal and speeds are shocking.
No coverage.
Their coverage is so poor they almost giving data for free
EE O2 Vodafone give only up to 30 GB for £20 month whereas Three gives you a crappy unlimited for same money.

Nope, not offended and don’t work for Three. Just a satisfied customer for over 12 years very aware of the tired, irrelevant stigmas around the company.

Hasn’t this deal been running for months?
Three 5G will be release when hell freezes over
Is it 5g or "data" had this dispute with them before with their "4g" service which means all it has to offer is a data connection of any speed.

Based on what exactly?

Due for Q1 2020 release with the largest spectrum out of all networks.
Can confirm still no 5G on my phone.

I'm satisfied relative to the value of my SIM... (12 quid for unlimited data) but I still get no data near work and around major tourist attractions which is naff. Hopefully 5G will sort that out

I feel the delayed launch of their 5G outside of London is a very relevant justified stigma given this deal is for 5G...

Not in my case. Wherever I go in the UK - Three signal is pretty good. Never had an issue in 9 years.

Count yourself lucky then
Not sure why this is seen as a bad deal - you'll struggle to find a better unlimited plan; granted some areas will not give you 5g coverage but for people in the cites its a good deal. Plus you also get the free use of travel abroad that is a massive perk if used outside of Europe

The recent issue with three's coverage was due to them upgrading their masts to be ready for 5g, they handled it quite badly and blamed users devices instead of admitting this, however, from next year I hope to see improvements to their service.

24 Months contract lol not a chance you will spend more time calling customer service regarding about slow speeds.

Thank god my contracts expired this year September three is oversubscribing the network with cheap deals the whole network is running like 56k dail up in Manchester city centre and many parts of London.

Not for long. EE and Vodafone with their truly unlimited data plans will soon face the same problem. Then they too will wonder around headless.

Oh please, there aren’t even many 5G phones on the market yet and this deal is a bargain even for 4G. Free upgrade to 5G is a bonus.
Except three is oversubscribed and therefore you can't even use their 4g in some areas...

Who are you kidding? Over a 24 month term is 50p cheaper per month than going for only a 12 month commitment, you'd also be eligible for cashback twice doing 2x 12 month contracts, hardly a bargain.

There only needs to be 1 5G phone for it to be utilised, makes no difference there isnt many.

For me personally
I would pay the extra £2 for Superdrug mobile runs on 3 network or Smarty £22 a month both are unlimited data without contact 24 months way to long for this current market.

And what phones do you have ?
I would like to add my 2 pence i have been a customer for 1 year and have just left and the bottom line is if you live in a rural or small town you will probably receive a decent service with good data speeds even at peak times however if you live in a built up area or densely populated, i would recommend you buy a payg sim and test before locking yourself into a long term contract because from my experience Three, where i i live, have been atrocious with data dropping to modem analogue speeds and being unusable. Even out of the area the network data seem very slow in comparison to EE and Vodafone that my friends have.

Their 4G network seems oversubscribed and you are better of switching to 3G at peak times as data speeds are faster then the 4G network ! From my observations ever since they releases 5G and even though there is no 5g network in my area the data network has degraded so badly that at times it seems they are back to using traffic sense even though they deny this. There approach to planned work is disgusting, they hardly ever inform you, always goes on for longer then scheduled and once there was no network signal between 9,30am saturday to sunday 3.00pm due to planned work !!!!

Support is poor and all they want to do is blame your phone, reset your phone so you loose your settings or send you out a new sim. when i complained about all the problems i have been having since January this year all they do is give you financial credit and when i complained about the network performance recently in my area since the 5G launch, after much evasion they said there is a unknown fault on the network since 5G was launched with no estimated fix time, says it all really

My three is all over the place.

Some days it's < 5 mbit

39290800-0g3by.jpg
Other days:

39290800-G4dgX.jpg
and in Central London, don't even think about it. Just doesn't work. Thank god I have dual SIM and I can swap to my work SIM for data.... I have an S10 5G and sometimes around London I get 5G, i've seen 250mbit, but most of the time I see very very poor speeds worse than 3G.

It's really all over the place with three at the moment. It can be good some days, and utterly pathetic other days. I have O2 and Vodafone SIMs too and O2 were terrible a few years ago, they're not so bad now the only problem is the signal just isn't there for me. Vodafone have great signal, but not so fantastic speed. EE cost an arm and a leg and their signal is worse than O2 and three in my work/home areas.

Conclusion: UK mobile networks suck.

All three have been stellar for me... I guess everyone has a good or bad story about any service
I read the comments and am not sure what is going on. My experience has been excellent throughout. I'm 6 months into the contract, have travelled the length of the country - including the highlands - and have never had bad reception. I have just returned from 4 weeks in Normandy and Brittany and once again had fantastic coverage throughout. This is an honest review of my experience, and I would definitely recommend it.
If anyone wants a 5G phone -
Budget - mi mix 3 5g from China £250ish
350-500 quid - Samsung a90 5g
No limit - S10 5g/note 10 5g
Have been a Three customer since they started and I can only speak of my experience... during the early years they were terrible for reception but improved considerably... speaking of recent experience I normally get to travel a lot in the south east of the country and have found them to be very reliable...they do have black spots in internet coverage which I have found to be mainly in more populated areas which tend to have flats which makes me think they are a victim of their success . Having travelled with an o2 and a Three sim for the past 7 years I can say I have had better signal on Three county wide but one should still check before buying a contract a there are still local blackspots and that applies to all networks

There was an article in ISPreview recently where Three admitted to a "slight" delay. In managment speak a "slight delay" means more than a year.

Recent outage was spinned as "some customers" were impacted, but the reality was millions were affected.

Three have been sitting on a lot of spectrum for more than 3 years, and the excuse of planning permisssion doesnt cut any water. Its the most pathetic excuse they have been dishing out. Didnt they know what was required to launch an effective service? Incomptence is what comes to mind. Have they been twiddling their thumbs for past 3 years?

5G also needs hundred/thousands of micro cells or small masts to carry the signals far and wide, whereas none have been built. They are only upgrading the antennae (that too at a snails pace) on current masts (some of them already shared). So no new investments in "street furniture.". This was confessed to me by a Three staff in a their flagship store in Camden.

Come to think of it, walk into any Three store and they are not even allowed to give a Demo of their 4g speeds in their new fangled AI cube rouer with a sim in it. for fear of cutting a sorry and shameful (speeds) figure.

Just gloating about their ownership of spectrum and stringing customers along (new and old alike) is one of the biggest corporate lies in recent times.
5G advertising removed from all stores here. 5G still pie in the sky with them.
Not a bad deal . Apart from them being pish compared to everybody else.

Scathing but the truth!
I suspect London will have 5G roll out within the next 3 months... The rest of the country well... How long is a piece of string
Better deal is the 12 month SIM only Advanced plan for £18 with £62.50 TCB. Unlimited minutes, texts and data. Works out £12.79 per month.
