so 1000 texts, mb, mins for just £60

This seems to be a massive drop compared to their existing PAYG rates of 26/min 11/text 11/mb

Any links to this new offer?

where's the news link for this?

It doesn't start until tomorrow so don't think there will be any links yet.

Hmm, not sure anyone who comes on hukd would use this deal in that actual way

I saw it earlier in the Three shop on a window poster!

Too good to be true. If this is even real there must be some sort of catch.

Knowing Three the way I do, I wouldn't trust them. They are losing so many customers through their poor customer services that desperation must be setting in. Until they address this situation the customer base will continue to drop. No sign of that happening just yet, still horror stories every week.

Sounds unbelievably cheap for a three payg tariif! Look forward to joining if true.

??! This would be the lowest cost PAYG tariff available in the UK if there are no catches. I think your estimation of an 'average user' may be based on your own use. Compared to an average contract phone user, perhaps, but many users on PAYG may only make one or two calls/texts a month, if any and not use any data at all.

A hearsay deal with no links or evidence

well I just got to vote hot (_;)

If true then good value for an intermittent user especially for data whose usage some months is almost zero and others moderate i.e. data for when travelling or on holiday.
For a steady user then sim only maybe well be better value.

Not if you do a Capped 1 month rolling one with Tesco.

I have been on 3 for years so it would be good if it were true. Here's hoping.

errrr. They're the fasting growing network. Whilst EE lost ~800,000 customers in the past year. Three have gained ~1.2m customers. They are actually becoming quite a large network now. In fact they are the best 3G network in the UK right now with more population coverage than both O2 and Vodafone. Three have actually improved quite a lot recently and a lot of the hate it gets is from customers who experienced the network years ago when it wasn't amazing. Ofc everyone will have issues with every network but what you said above just isn't correct.

I can confirm this deal will happen tomorrow.

It's a good deal for low users. People who just call and text every now and then.

It works how it says on the tin. Top up £10 or something, then just pay 3p a min, 2p a text and 1p per MB until your credit runs out. An excellent low usage deal. (You can still buy bundles if you want to)

Ovivo is worth a look though as well.

We should support good pay as you go deals as they allow privacy. With a contract, you register a name and address. whereas this can be used anonymously...

catch: no signal

Actually they are gaining customers not losing them, they are the only network that offer realistic tariffs for value for money.

It's all true and an awesome deal!!

Well I get a signal everywhere I go, unlike when I was with o2 with their very poor 3g service.

Yeah I'm with 3 and signal is rubbish

Aye, just 93% 3G coverage compared to o2's 80%...

Your figures are from 4 years ago. It's 98% on Three and 90% on O2.

Three are fine. You are a nutjob.

Three's customer service is shockingly (and I mean really disturbingly) bad but everything else I've found with my year using them has been good really. Recommended.

If you're sending 1000 texts every month then you really should get another tariff. Or a life.

This is a great deal for one of the big networks. White mobile has a similar offer, but they are a VMNO on the Virgin network, which itself is on EE, and lebara had a 3.3p offer at some point for existing customers. Hot if true - but not voting just yet.

As for customer service - EE is also shockingly (as in criminally) bad, and they charge 32p/min on PAYG!

thats not true they are increasing their customer base

Is this for any network or just to other three users?

I wish three would stop with these amazing deals or else the network will be as saturated as O2s network please avoid this deal where at all possible

That's a great deal if it's correct. I only use around 150mb of data a month so that would be pretty cheap. Can't see how they can have calls at 3p per minute though, surely the termination charge for connecting the call to another network must be higher, I know it's fallen over the years but can't believe by that much for them still to make a profit.
But then if Ovivo can offer 500mb, 150 mins and 200 texts each month for zero (just put up with a bit of advertising when you browse) then maybe they can!

datguy

cant be as bad as vodafone

screwed up my port and ported my new no instead of my old no

sorted it by using a temp sim and assured i wont be charged

then charged me for my tariff and temp sim too

their indian call centre are so useless as thry employ morons

i told them 4 times youve charged me for 2 tarriffs. they said i hadnt. i asked them how much. they replied with an amount that even a **** could guess is more than one tariff as uts iver 100

ive given 72 hours otherwise its small claims

and i works in telecoms and a vfone shareholder

3 have by for the best network for data

i work in telecoms

ive used o2 and currently on vodafone and both are terrible for data...never again as soon as my voda s4 is up in may im off

Thanks for that. Still proves my point that 3 are better!

This is a cracking deal. I just checked my phone, and in the past three weeks I've used only 50MB data, and would normally clock up maybe 80 mins of calls and 100 texts in a month - so a bill of a round £5 per month would be normal for me. I usually take on SIM only contracts with much higher allowances, just to avoid "bill shock" should I overrun my allowances, and faff around claiming cashback. When my current contract is up I'll certainly be looking at this.
