I've been with 3 for a few years, 2 contracts, 1 £13 for 12gb, unlimited calls and texts, 2 £9 for 6gb unlimited calls and texts. My contact is up later this month, I have contacted 3 by phone and online chat and the best they have offered is the same as I already have! Spent 2 hours of my life to get nothing. I have seen on hukd some fantastic retention deals but no, this is the best they can offer? So I now have 2 PAc code and 30 days to find something else. Even if I have to pay more I will be moving.

although the links take you to the basket, how come its not on their website?
I switched from 3 couple of years ago and I was then getting better reception with Plusnet on EE and now on BT, who to retain me have offered 10 GB for £10 with a £30 credit. But I am after data rollover

They were exactly the same with me, must be the wrong month to try get deals they wouldnt give me anything you couldnt get from them as a new customer anyway. In fact when i first phoned they offered me what i already have at 5 pounds more and month and when i questioned she went away and came back and said i could have it at just 2 pounds more than i pay already haha. Gave me my pac code so think i'll be switching up soon as well

Best thing I did was switch from 3
Shame it's so godawful signal in my area.
They have wifi calling now

Virgin presently have a decent deal, 25gb, 5000 text and mins, 12 month contract, unused data rolls over, £15 a month.
This is through Quidco, and get £50 cash back.
Or 6gb, 5000 mins and texts for £9 a month, £25 cash back.
Virgin use the EE network so good coverage in most areas, unlike 3 who's coverage is poor in many areas, (that I find myself in)
Been with 3 since they were relatively new.

Always had good service, good prices and currently I'm still on the best deal I know out of my friends and family (not bragging, merely stating how well 3 have looked after me).

I get 2000 minutes, 5000 texts, truly unlimited internet/tethering for £8.96 a month, rolling contract.

The internet on my contract is the best, as I can literally be using it 24/7, tethered to other devices if need be too and the minutes/texts are more than enough for me.

I believe it used to be called their 1 plan.

I can heartily recommend 3 and if you get the right rep, they'll surely do a deal for you.
This is £1 less than the current/recent HUKD/Three 8GB+unlimited calls/texts 12 months deal. However the £10 deal has £45 or £50 cashback - if you think you can rely on it. I did 2 of them, one tracked instantly in Quido, the other tracked not at all so far, in TCB.

Still, you are getting 8GB + unlimited other stuff at a price that was unimaginable a few years ago and this still trounces most networks on cost + roaming.

It’s like virgin media and their nonsense retentions. However, can’t you just text for the PAC code, and sign up as a new customer and port the number when the contract’s done?

Move them both the PAYG, then go through TCB or Quidco to order new SIMs. Once they arrive you can port your existing numbers to the contracts. You can do it online. I did this before and the cashback is your bonus

I've been with 3 about 5 years and I wouldn't complain about them. It does annoy me that they have absolutely no consistency with their deals though. If only one in five people get a deal like you do that then means so many people are wasting time trying to get these retention deals.

I contacted Three a few days ago to cancel my contract and they offered me this deal.
I couldn’t see any other provider offering anything close to this, especially with unlimited Netflix and tethering, so I accepted the offer. They even sent me 5gb of free data to see me over until tomorrow.

12 years this year for me and the best they could do is AYCE Minutes, Text, Data + 12GB of Hotspot for £16 - 12 months contract.
Edited by: "MrCollective" 4th Jul
Three retentions offered me this deal at the weekend, but I told them I didn’t need that much data. They refused to do me a cheaper deal with less data, so I requested a PAC.

Yesterday, I started a new live chat and said I was about to use the PAC, but wanted to give Three one last chance to keep my business. I told the rep what I was looking for and was offered it immediately! I’m now paying £7 for 4Gb data with unlimited minutes and texts on their advanced plan. Ideal!
I got 8gb for £9 today as a live chat retention offer for 12 months
How much will it be after 12m?

I believe i was fortunate, though I can be a bit heavy going on calls as i’m known to get what I want if I know it’s available.
That said, they were really helpful and not once did I threaten leaving them, they were quite happy to “reward” my continued custom.
I do hope lots of others manage to get really good sub £10 deals too.
If new customer. Better going through a cash back site. TopCashback does the same for 10 pound a month. 12 month contract. But you get 50 pounds back. So 70 pound for first year.
Plus if your not a member of top ask back. You can get a extra fiver free with a friend request. Just ask a friend who u know used it or if you don’t know anyone just pm me. So it be 65 pound a year.

Did this last year. And when I came to renew. They added unlimited data for three pound extra.

I don’t think this plan has unlimited Netflix or “go binge” as they call it. I’ve been looking for a Three deal with it included and I think the only discounts are through Cashback sites.

Sorry, you are right.
I’ve checked my plan and it doesn’t seem to be on there. Not sure if I assumed it or whether the three rep told me it did. Still a good deal though, does anyone else offer a “go binge” alternative?
3 are liars!!! It was only yesterday I upgraded to SKY Q and sky offered me a sim plan deal for 8gb unlimited calls n texts for £10pm. I wanted a new contract for my son. I checked to see what my phone network provider 3 were offering. They said £11. Apparently that is an exclusive deal only for me and it's not on the market and they can't reduce it anymore. I went with Sky.
3 called me back and I told them I went with sky. They said they will match them for £10. I said nahhhh then offered me £9. I said I take it loooool. Tried to cancel with Sky. Gave them the reason that 3 reduced the price. Sky offered me 50% off so total was £5 per month. I took it!

I've been with 3 couple of years after they first come out. Recommended my family to them. Now it seems that the last couple of years their reception has become very poor and their price plan offers are becoming ridiculous for existing customers. Not long till I switch.

It's an exclusive offer to MSE customers - was in their Tuesday newsletter
For existing Three customers trying to get a good plan, don’t do anything to do with upgrades or retentions, instead just pop onto live chat and say you want to do a ‘change of plan’. You’ll get a new plan but keep your existing contract date. If you have unlimited minutes and don’t need it then ask the advisor if you could exchange it for more data. I managed to get 600 minutes with 2000 three-to-three minutes, unlimited text and unlimited data/hotspot for £5pm. A lot of hukd users also managed to similarly priced plans by using this method.

I’ll be honest, Three’s signal is not the best for the areas that I travel to. My brother is on virgin mobile (EE) and there has been many occasions where I had no service and he had service. When we both have signal then his internet speeds seems to always be faster that mine. I am looking to move to EE but not willing to give up my Three plan cos I think that’s just silly. So I’ll move to EE when Three kicks me off this plan lol.

Never try to negotiate with Three over the phone. Try their live chat on their app. Much more friendly and sooo much easier to get a good deal. I’m paying £13 a month for unlimited everything. I started on £10 a month for 8GB data in January and switched to unlimited data a month later by asking for a price plan change.

As I said, I had tried both phone then over an hour on online chat via app. Waste of time I'm afraid. As you say very friendly but no improvement over my present tarrif. Seems to be pot luck weather you get a deal or not. In my case not.

Sorry my bad didn’t read it properly. Try and keep your contract going (it changes to a 30 day rolling contract) and then ask for a price plan change. Price plan change is the best way to get deals in my experience
