Can it be used with a payg SIM? Just checking although I don't think three lock or restrict their devices.

Yes, but you must start a contract at point of purchase where the minimum 30-day-notice contract cost is £15/month.
Surely you need to add one months contract as a minimum to the price?
At time of this post, deal title does not include the cost of the obligatory contract at minimum £15/month (Currys chooses not to offer Three's £10/m data contract option).

That's true, ONLY Network Three (when you buy this MiFi DIRECTLY from them that is), do it with the £10 Internet Broadband 30 Day Rolling Contract thing ...

PCWorld/Curry's etc (for whatever reason?), choose to not.

Correct. :-)
Can anyone shed any light on these- I use my mobile and tether my laptop/tablet/whatnot. Whats the difference?
OP .. I believe you're losing your otherwise much deserved heat, for the most minor-ish of offenses - not stipulating allllll criteria/everything!, within the body of your Posted Deal in some way?, eg. mention the additional £10/£15 mandatory (though IMMEDIATELY able to cancel!) 30 Day's Rolling Contract Tariff (as already pre-mentioned?), and your HEAT status will quite literally (be it almost immediately too mind?) SHOOT UP BIGGGGGGG!!, guaranteed! (as your Deal so far, is quite literally the cheapest this has been to date?!), etc etc etc ...

The ball is now well and truly firmly in.your court?, lol. :-D

Correct, it is unlocked (I have this from a few earlier Deal's of the same MiFi Device Posted on HUKD from before ... )

And yes also to the fact that it can also be used with a Pay & Go Internet Data SIM.

Yep!, true too!.

BUT, that mandatory 30 Day Rolling Contract thing can be cancelled soon after! - within a 14 Day cooling off period window (as I've already stipulated above), that is what I also did to some I got last Year (in 1 of the 2 other time's that this has also been previously Posted on HUKD, but for a bit more ... )

The cancelling of it wasn't an issue at alllllllll! (I called them up between a 2-3 Day window after my initial purchase's to cancel/get rid of the 30 Day thing (and getting rid of those 30 Day Rolling Contracts worked out a treat too!). :-)

So even though what you're saying isn't technically wrong, what I've now also explained isn't technically wrong either?, hehehehe (in a nutshell, there ARE 'options'). :-D

There ARE 'options', IF you choose to make use of them that is ... :-)
Curry's site is letting me order this item without any mandatory 1 month contract? Am I missing something?

That's for collection only, they won't let you collect it without signing up to the contract in store

Don't know why this is so cold, 4 times in the past few weeks this has received much heat, and this is the cheapest it has been. It is a brilliant deal, just cancel the Three contract and use a cheaper deal, or not at all until you need to, holidays, long trips with the kids, trains......loads of advantages. Well pleased with mine bought last week.
Cold because it's from Currys

I agree with you, but with your above questions in mind, I'm also assuming that you never read any of my above initial comments either?, lol.

Notably at least, this one:

Just adding to the support of the OP. I did read your comments as I did on the earlier post for the same kit.

Hahahahahahahahaha, fair enough, no big. :-D

But unfortunately, the power of 'The FORCE', is out of our hands on this one ...
Its amazing the trouble that people will go to for a half baked "deal". Do you really want to be going to the bother of trying to cancel contracts. Some will let it run over by mistake and of course thats what they are hoping for.

I have bought mine on ebay and I also noticed some on sale in CEX unlocked. They are handy ( have taken on holiday) but realistically they will spend most of their time in a drawer.
I really should have know better...Bought this from Curry's/PC World today and knowingly signed up to rolling 30 day contract with the intention of immediately cancelling as I don't need the device for a couple of months. First problem was that the credit check threw up issues with the formatting of my address (that's never happened before but ho-hum it was eventually resolved). A few hours later I phoned Three to cancel the contract and guess what - no can do they said - because I signed it in Curry's I would have to go back to Curry's to cancel it. They also said that even though I hadn't activated the SIM I would have to pay the first month even if I cancelled successfully. Just as I was about to go back to the store I realised that the SIM card they had supplied was 3G and therefore incompatible with the the 4G device they had sold me. Thankfully this gave me watertight grounds for taking it all back and getting a complete refund, but be warned. Lesson learned is never t o shop at Curry's/PC World again but for most of you savvy readers that will probably be a given!

Mobiles are often slower for various reasons. Moreover tethering massacres your battery. On top of that you can connect multiple devices simultaneously and stow it in your bag or a pocket (this MiFi is much more compact than the EE Alcatel Osprey Mini).

Can't see the point of going crazy over this deal, given the contract requirement. Even if you cancel it you still register a credit search. It might only lose you a few points, but that could make a difference for some. You can get Mifis of this quality for this price, or even cheaper on eBay. Plus, it's possible that PAYG will eventually be reduced as well if Curry's are looking to dump these. That happened with the EE Osprey and Osprey Mini.
