£9 per month is not bad for all-you-can-eat Minutes, all-you-can-eat Texts plus 4GB data.

Then add in £45 Cashback via topcashback.co.uk

This brings it down from £108 for 12 months to just £63.

We are now looking at possible £5.25 per month.

That becomes a HOT deal!

No tethering allowance i'm afraid.

No personal hotspot.

No feel at home.

- vassy4u

Not unlimited minutes, it is 600 minutes

- marky.mark

Oh yes it is mark, unlimited minutes on the three essentials plan, plus unlimited text and 4gb data. There is another plan with 600 minutes also £9 per month.

Scrub above comment, ''tis indeed unlimited"

£50 cashback via quidco?
all phones have mobile hot spots in settings don't they I use my phone to run three to four others when on holiday and mine says no tethering but worked for years
great price i put 3 second to ee im adding heat for price only
Android devices can be used to tether without being detected by three. But one needs to have All u can eat data as well
Editor
As a heads up, I was on this tariff. Shortly after usage (6 weeks) I logged in online and was offered double the data for an extra £3 a month.

I need tethering so called them to see what they could do for me. I now have all you can eat data and texts plus 600 minutes and 30GB tethering for £19 a month.
I've had this deal for a while. heat

to be fair to them it does actually stop not on all of the time, but like all good plusnet deals it does come around again and again.

the refer a friend deal will work with this, £50 amazon vouchers and you can if you do it right refer a friend, might be better than hoping TCB pay out.
Went for this deal a month ago. TCB has only tracked at £25. I put a claim in to ask, now they put my cashback on ice.

you posting in with your duplicate account again?
Why can you not tether with this? I can understand why they don't allow it with all you can eat, but with a fixed data allowance I can't see why it matters.
Do they do anything if you do tether, can they detect it?
Is roaming included in this.

They have two types of plans... The cheapie essentials plan which this one is, which doesn't allow tethering or feel at home, then the more expensive advanced plans that does.

I've been tethering on my payg 321 plan with no issues. I've been mostly doing it for wfh via VPN though so that may be why.
Same deal IV been on with free when they offered it about 6 months ago. No feel at home though it tethering which sucks. Probably will get them to add it when my contract is up

Hi there just wanted to ask how do I get cashback I have made a account a while back but dont know how to use it lol,how would I get cash back and what would I need to do thanks in advance also heat added OP:)
Hm, without tethering and feel at home it's a so-so deal. Slots neatly into the market between better 3GB (e.g. plusnet 3gb with tethering for £8.50 a few weeks ago, sure it'll come around again) and bigger allowance cheapo's (e.g. ~£15 for ~20gb from a few different networks in roundabout ways recently.

Yes they could detect it very easily when I was on a plan that couldn't tether. Three cold detect it instantly when tethering to a Windows device. I could however tether to Mac OS providing i used Google Chrome to browse (they can detect the browsers user agent to block tethering too), didn't load the App store up, or certain apps like Steam. However that was fine as I could connect to a VPN running on my home connection and do what i wanted after that.

I never had any issues tethering to another Android device from my Android phone.

You can however use your Android Phone as a VPN Gateway if you have root, so essentially you connect to a VPN on your phone, then once the VPN is up and running send all your tethered traffic over the VPN, so Three can't see it.

This is a guide i created on how to do this, which worked well when I was on a Three plan which couldn't tether: https://digiex.net/threads/android-phone-as-a-vpn-gateway-bypass-tethering-block.13974/

I guess it should still work, however I have no way to test it anymore.

When Three changed all their plans I couldn't justify my monthly bill been more than doubled to keep unlimited data. I now only have 4gb, which has no tethering restrictions on it.

Edit - As to what happens when they detect it, Three cut your data service off instantly until you turn your phone on / off again (or put it in Aeroplane mode for a few seconds). You also get a text message to warn you not to keep doing it.

I would avoid Topcashback like the plague - poor tracking, poor chasing of non payment, poor customer support and will even close an account for non activity whilst a claim is in process.

Quidco is Rolls Royce by comparison.

And thousands are waiting for TCB as well, agree with the poster have £3k on quidco since t started but only £600 on TCB only use them if quidco doesn't have the deal I am looking for and many times it doesn't track or like last time something moves from payable in 3 weeks which it sat for 10 weeks and then jumped to 39 weeks, yes 39 weeks, customer don't care said are we ok t wait, what choice do we have. I would go for the refer a friend vouchers with 3 than sit and hope for TCB

Avoid quidco, I had them decline cashback on a new Three contract, they also rejected a claim I raised.

Search for Three on TCB and select visit retailer, it will redirect you to Three website. Purchase your deal and your cashback should get tracked.

Just checked my TCB account and now it's showing £40 still not £45 which they promised.

For balance, I've had the exact opposite experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend TCB.
I'm currently on Three pay as you go, would I be able to get this deal and keep my number?

Yes, you will get a new number with the contract, just go to a store and they will port the number from PAYG to your contract. dead simple

edit, also if you have any credit on your PAYG sim as long as it's not an add-on it will transfer to contract sim too.

No not all phones and yes there are workarounds but Three are pretty hot on it and are well within their rights to bill you without warning. Just the same as they block using 2G phones suddenly. Might as well just pay for the Advanced tariff, it's not like it's much more money.

The 8gb advanced package is/was 12£ plus 50£ cashback.
Quidco denied my purchase when I bought it last time with similar deal. Even in spite of me raising a claim it wasn't successful. Good luck
Quidco says "£50 for all other 12 month SIM contracts with 4GB or more data per month (excludes the 4GB/600 minutes tarrif." As much as you can rely on cashback, that should make this effectively £58 / 12m so £4.84 / 1m. Right?

Yes ! get another carriers free sim on payg and port your number to that, then port it back to three once the contract is running.
