Great deal, however the difficult of switching an existing three sim onlyover to this puts me off
Currently struggling to any cashback by redemption from this company, don’t rely on this as part of decision.

40493379-EKH1B.jpgThis is what I'm getting in Central London using my Three in a dual SIM phone.

I wouldn't rely on it as my primary connection, I'm not even sure I'll keep it as my second line. But it is very useful for free calls when travelling in many parts of Asia.

Submitted all paperwork, and there is a lot required, they make it as difficult as possible, and no response despite many e-mails. A simple google search indicates maybe this is normal. The cashback is also via multiples submissions and this is only the first one. Not feeling very positive.

I second that.

I had a PAYM SIM, which after the lockdown I needed to switch to PAY AS YOU GO. the network was okay, so didnt see the need to move to another provider.

You would have thought it would be simple. After a long drawn out process to stop the pay monthly and having my account closed, I thought it would be simple to switch. Ha! was I mistaken.

The first advisor apparently closed my account without putting any notes that this was a switch to PAYM.
Boom, my line goes dead.
I got another line and after days of everyday chats, they are still processing my PAC code. Everyday I get a new agent who makes me go through all the history again. You would have thought they can read the chat history
Last Wednesday, the 7th agent said I didn't need a PAC code after all. As I was staying with same network, he "helpfully" cancelled my code request and transferred me to retentions. Retentions told me they cant help because the first agent has already closed my account. I went back to customer support who has put me in queue for a PAC code afresh, as I lost my place in the first queue after the agent cancelled my request.

After more than 2 weeks, I have given up. Left three. They probably didnt need me as a customer.

Yup, agreed. Should never have trusted their customer advisor. Some of them dont even know what they are talking (typing now ) about. Misled me into thinking it was possible. Lesson learnt the hard way.

I'm jealous, you get Mbps, I mainly get only b/s. in N.London. Currently looking for a new provider - on a rolling contract so I'll be offski asap.
I am not sure why the previous deal was expired when this offer has been running for weeks? hotukdeals.com/dea…041

Three's data is hit and miss for me in east London (E7)
Need to start looking at other network to be honest.. I seen some Vodafone offers, does anyone know how is there data around E7?
Just purchased this, moving from Three Pay Monthly to (this) Three Pay Monthly, can anyone recommend an intermediate PAYG sim to port my number across to before sending back to Three, had problems doing this with Vodafone in the past who insisted I stay with them for 30 days before giving me my PAC

Asda mobile mate 🏻
Buggered just took Sky Mobile with £30 cash back works out £5.50 a month with same allowance
Don’t waste your time on Three.. I am in central Manchester and the data speeds are abismal... missing calls through no service constantly. I say this on the back of another deal on here a couple of months back where I chose to ignore the negative comments... took out a sim only and cancelled within a couple of days usage the service was that bad. Went with Vodafone on VOXi and I’m fully satisfied... as good as a previous service with EE was. I hope this helps. Ps even trying to speak to someone regarding cancelling the contract was a nightmare and tbh is still ongoing!

thanks, do I need to top up or is the sim only suffice?

No top up required - transfer your number to them, leave it until the next day for the system to update, then request a pac from Asda and give to Three.
I have a 3 SIM in a router at work having given up on Vodafone due to lots of dropped signal (even with external aerial). 3 worked perfectly (55 Mbs) until they did an "upgrade". That, coupled with all the people at home, now results in a highly variable signal 8-55 Mbs but it can sometimes take 20-30 seconds to actually connect to a server. A real pain, now
Woeful network. Back on EE and suddenly I have signal again

Have a Vodafone PAYG Sim however so had mentioned once moving to them, you have to wait 30 days before leaving again
Can someone please advise: Currently on 3 Sim only plan, and want to switch to this (featured) plan. How do I change plan with the same provider?
Thanks in advance!

You need to leave Three and return to them, essentially, if you want to keep your old number!
Is the process of claiming cashback with affordable mobiles easy or do we still have to print and sent bills?

Go on the 3 app on your phone, click on more (bottom right),
Under Support, live chat, upgrading, enter your details, initial question is change of sim only contract.
Wait in the queue
When they chat be kind, say you want to look at changing to the 12 month Advanced Sim Only 8GB for £8.
They should then just go through the T and C's with you.

Sorted

I think they will be returning to this when the lockdown is over... However they may be comparing the data about successful claims in the lock down period Vs non lockdown period and decide to continue with the email option too...

Oh I remember this, but I did this way back when I bought a htc phone contract, had to claim cash back four times a year between specific dates. I used to set reminders, but thought this type of concept does not exist anymore, obviously I am wrong.

Haha.. I did this for some of my old contracts when the rewards are worth considering.. but for this £48 you have to take so much of care.. while you can get almost similar deal on other networks...(sky simonly) Tesco SIM only £100 cashback on £12 a month etc.. I know most of the deals are not available right now but just to say...
Same deal available at Fonehouse which (allegedly) has a better cashback process.
Can go through topcashback to get 32 50 cashback if you didn't want to spend time sending bills off. Effective cost is abit higher at £5.29pm :/
12×8= 96, 96-32.5/12=5.29
Take great care with this... I've clicked through the deal and they have signed me up to paying £23/month!!
