Sadly, the three network is a load of pelt, so not that great a deal. …Sadly, the three network is a load of pelt, so not that great a deal. Would rather pay extra and get decent coverage.

I've been with Three since 2008 and never had any loss of signal or any other issue from anywhere I've travelled being connected to the Three network. Maybe I'm lucky or maybe you are unlucky, but I can't recommend Three enough. Low prices and fantastic coverage.
Good deal, heat added.... But if you go through TopCashBack and get the same deal, you get £42.50 cashback making it a net £4.46 per month.
I pay 8.50 for 30gb and struggle to use any of those gigs, constant outages almost every day I don't know what they are thinking, if you depend on your phone avoid!

I'm paying £9 for this deal and tried to change the last time but they wouldn't do it. Tried chat and phone
Three are like most phone companies...shafting loyal customers..i was with three for 10 years and when i left they were still sending me bills for 12 months..numerous calls to barely speaking english customer reps took a year to stop. Customer reps lied all the time and were VERY devious. You cannot trust them ! sound familier ?

Thanks for the TCB reminder. I need a sim for when in USA, for satnav on my phone, and this is by far the cheapest option.
I've gone for the 12gb for £10 a month for my son, double what I was getting on Plusnet for the same price and 55 tcb. cheers!

There is no go binge in this deal, still refused to give me this deal already have a pac code
She wanted £9 for this and £12 for 12gb with go binge included.
The amount of negativity for 3 is astounding. I can only assume everyone who complains about the signal lives more towards the south of England.

I've been with 3 for over 12 years. I live in the North and constantly travel between different parts of the North and towards the Midlands and the signal has always been amazing.

However, when I travel more towards the South the signal really is shocking in parts.
It's like getting blood from a stone trying to get them to honour this deal. They're kicking me off my £5 a month 10 year old contract

update - Lost the will to chat any longer so gave in at £9...

I’ve had to travel all around the midlands and further north recently. Everywhere I went I got very bad signal on three. I get No Signal or 3G with 1 bar in my house, despite my postcode advertised as ‘very fast 4G’.

After complaining numerous times and attempting to resolve it I’ll now look for another provider.

I'm so surprised to read this. My experience is exactly the opposite. Although I appreciate how bad things can be. It was like that for me with Tesco mobile.
If Im already on three (ended contract). and want to do this via TCB can I just buy it then transfer the number? I figure if I do this through 3 direct I'll obviously not get the TCB?

I'm in the Midlands too. I've never had bad signal. Best network by far for me.

I've been with Three for about 4 years and never had those speeds anywhere in the UK.

I feel like with three its not the coverage thats an issue but the fact that speeds are terrible at places even with full 4g bar. I have 4g disabled on my phone as 95% of places i visit 3g speeds are greater than 4g.

For example at home i get 2 (3 in certain spots) bars in my living room for both 3g & 4g but i will be lucky to get speeds above 2mbps vs 6mpbs+ on 3g (as high as 11-12mbps).

That being said i think they throttle speeds as some times it will not go above like 0.x mpbs after heavy usage

Maybe it's your phone then, I don't know. All I know is I've never had issues. The slowest speed I had was 30.3 Mbps.

I doubt it, my iPhone 5S, two different iPhone 7s and different Three sims all have struggled with speed/signal.
not saying outside but inside my house we have tin foil backing on the plasterboard's so signal not great and that includes wifi form my normal broadband so a lot of people saying there signal is crap in there houses could be the same problem as mine.
outside where i live is fine about 30-40g if i go down town i get near 100g worst signal is Vodafone the rest not to bad.
Thanks for sharing. I had 4GB with them for £8. He would not give me 8GB for £8. Got it for £10 instead.

Ohh well. Maybe it's an Apple thing, my Android phones have never had that trouble. Like I say, I've never had the trouble you have.

My son as an iphone 8 and hes always complaining about the wifi we stand next to each other and my old Samsung galaxy s6 beats it hands down and thats standing about 2 foot away from the modem so could be the phones i would just try a different make you never know some people are just unlucky when it comes to phones.
great deal OP, is this for new customers only?, also i am not sure if go binge is included on this plan as they normally are only on the 12gb+ plans
How does the "Personal hotspot Unlimited data" work as stated in OP? Thanks.
"Go Binge" not applicable to this 8GB package three.co.uk/sta…668

Sigh. Was just on the phone with them. They are only offering for £9pm too. So much for being a loyal customer.
