Three are ok till something goes wrong. Their customer service is run by clueless imbeciles.

Not by a small margin, but by a huge margin. I sometimes think how Three are getting away with it without being investigated by OFCOM. I'm looking to swap out the Three SIM as soon as the contract is over.[Image]

Some people like to stream HD video during the commute. With some careful planning I'm sure enough could be downloaded in advance on home wifi reducing the need for data on the go but some people would rather pay the extra few pounds a month and not worry.

Yea i understand now. As i don't commute, i have wifi at home and work so really the only data i use while I'm driving is sat nav which isnt much

I thought they limited tethering to 30gb a month on the unlimited plans a while back in their T&Cs
You guys are weak.
I use around 850gb each month home broadband £10 a month.

Two other sims iPhone x and iPhone xs max use around 130gb every month both phones.
Stream 320kbps radio all day in work and Netflix in 4k.

I think there was an Ofcom ruling that forced the networks to allow users to use all of their data on tethering (so no tethering caps) So if you have 4GB you can use all of that on tethering or in this case if you have unlimited data your tethering is also unlimited.

Compared to Virgin Mobiles customer service and them not nudging on price when they put my black Friday £20 unlimited sim to £27 per month, Three Customer Relations via chat are great. Due to signal issues and download speeds I'm only paying £15 per month and they added bill credit on too which I think averages to about a tenner a month. I use this in my Huwaei B525 as my main home broadband. Speeds aren't as good as Virgin's but I still get on average about 30 down and 20 up.

Sorry I'm confused, what's supervoice/VoLTE got to do with it?
For the travel hackers: I took the last offer up like this going through the BA Estore and it tracked at 6000 Avios, which is very good value for a SIM only deal of £20ppm.

Given i generally aim at redeeming at a ratio of 2p : 1 Avois this would beat the cashback on offer going via a cashback site even if you only get slightly above 1p per Avios (which are the worst value Avios redemptions)

Speed and connection are nightmare I have 2 of these unlimited data sims, what is the next best thing? I want to switch
Just a warning but I found their customer service worse than shocking!
I had this, bought for £20pm back in Feb. After some quite easy negotiation I got it down to £10pm but the speed was so poor its not worth the money for my usage even at a tenner unfortunately. Unlimited is all very well but compared to vodafone (again in my areas of usage) there's no contest.
Shame, make sure you test all the places you need to use your phone in for both signal and also Internet speed.

Three UK has a fairly good internet speed. The phone needs a maximum of 20m / s. higher speed is only for speed tests. 5g on the phone is not necessary for anyone

Good luck using your EE max plan in Hong Kong, Singapore or Indonesia Three's roaming allowances are the best of the lot and very valuable to me.
4G on T Mobile USA suits my needs.
been with three for years and have no complaints

Moving house. The speeds are great, depends entirely where you are.
The deal is good, however the network is absolutely garbage. The signal is really weak in a lot of places and I constantly get network issues in alot of places. My friends etc don't have these issues at the exact same time and place, and they aren't on 3.

I live in East London and it's given me a few problems in places around East as well as out of East.

The deal I get is really good, and I wish the network was good, as I'd have stayed. But unfortunately it's just becoming unbearable now and sometimes interferes with my work.

I'm making the switch to Vodafone, with the cashback deal posted on HUKD, and hopefully it's much better. Everyone wbo I know is kn Vodafone says its really good etc and never experience the issues I do with 3.

The 3 customer service is really good however.

I just wanted to share my experience with anyone wanting to switch to 3.

Yeah I use a lot of data. I used to use less than 8, but once I got unlimited I was using it for everything. It became really useful as a lot of it goes on hotspotting my laptop and I use that for work.
I mirror Sufz post!
If it works for you then that's great.
I'm jealous in fact at a tenner and their roaming costs are great too. Much better than Vodafone rip off £6 a day (non inclusive places, but vodafone includes in country calls, 3 doesn't).

But my feeling of smugness soon eroded every time I use an app as the speed was too low to open even a banking app. Then there were the times I got no signal, places like shopping centres etc.

But, if you are in places of good network and speed. It's an amazing deal.
Not forgetting they support vowifi for calls and sms which is also a great benefit.

I'll say one more thing (maybe seaniboy will see this), my son has a phone that doesn't support band20 and he gets great usage for his requirements so he's a happy customer!

I know what you mean. If I had limit then I'd set backup photos on Google photos to WiFi ie when I'm home than instantly, I'd use my WiFi more at home but I get full 4G in my bedroom which is faster than my WiFi and also I wouldn't tether as much either!
They rang me and offered unlimited data for £10 pm

Just one. I went with quidco in November and they paid me £70 in April.

Open a new account with topcashback first. Once you've done that, log in and search for three. Take the right deal from the list, a new page will open redirecting to three website and you have to complete the order. Once you ve done that, they will track the order and will show in your tcb within 2 days

Please listen to someone who is having serious problems with them. 4 months after cancellation due to poor reception in my area with 30 day get out clause, well still having threatening letters, bully tactics and saying I've never contacted them, even thou I saved all screen shots when on chat with them. DON'T DO IT NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE OFFER.

Totally agree.
I ditched my home fibre and phone line for this and am so pleased with it. You can even plug a normal home phone into the back of a huawei B525 router. I can’t tell any difference between this and fibre for my area. Very happy!

Likewise, jamez002, ditched my Plusnet fibre and mobile contracts at £30 and £10 get much faster speeds than my fibre and unlimited calls and texts for £20.

Had it for 4 months now and couldn't be happier.

Just renewed mine as it went up due the RPI. You now get unlimited tethering instead of 30GB a month as before, plus £18 a year saving so I’m happy.
Which 4G router is better Huawei B525 or TP Link MR400 AC1200?. The main issue is that I will need to VPN into work using CISCO Anyconnect. Do people experience any problems VPN remotely?

Thanks

B525 probably, as that has a phone socket, which the TP-Link is missing. I also use an older version of Cisco Anyconnect, but I am not worried about any VPN issues if I go for this deal.
I’ve been with Three the past 7 years and not really had any issues, my current deal is the same as above but £19 a month. Would recommend for that price if you’re a heavy data user.
