I'm on this contract and it's not throttled. I've attached a speed test

Also, don't forget Quidco and TCB for extra money back (not guaranteed of course!!) 😃

Im sure vodafone are probably are the only ones that sort of do that

Never heard 3 doing it how'd u check tho im assuming its just looking through the contract ?

Are you sure you aren't confusing this with another provider? Three have been promoting their tethering service with no limit for quite some time.

Have you any links?

Pretty sure OP is confused as it's not a thing with Three. The only limit is your data allowance.

There limits on data but only when roaming in one of their "feel at home" countries. Even then its 19GB so more than enough.

With Three and want to upgrade to this, but I'm still in contract until next year. What's the best way of doing this?

You thinking of vodafone who have 2mbps,10bmps and truly unlimited contracts.
I got this deal and finally left EE as of Monday! nice and freeing to be unlimited

Also so far so good
im currently paying £20 for this. is it possible for me to call them up and complain and get it reduced to £18?
Already with three on 30GB data for £15.38 out of contract now. Just checked the app and now offered 100GB for £15/month (or £18 for unlimited).

Nice deal for existing customers, and don't even need to call them

Unless within 14 day period, there is probably not alot they can do

Don't know where you have got that from, but it clearly does NOT apply to the UK. Mobile ISP's DO throttle! GiffGaff throttles it's "always on" package to some thing like 384kbps after 40GB. Vodafone have packages where they throttle to 2Mbps and 10Mbps. So clearly NOT protected by these laws , if they even exist.
Any possibility to get TCB on this offer?

Nope, wouldn't think so... I have a free sim with only 200MB/mth and I hit around 90Mbps when out and about... until I reach my data cap, which took about 2-3 seconds, the speedtest didn't even finish

I had to argue with three customer services to get the limit removed. I'm not bothered if people believe it or not, just saying check in first 14 days so you can leave if it's not the deal you think it is.

Checking with three there has never been two Unlimited plans, the 12gb standard limit was in place before the changes in October 2018. People on legacy or grandfathered unlimited plans had the switch to no tethering limit, at the same time as everyone else after this date.

I can see where you may be confused, but this is from the horses mouth, as it were.
Great! I'm out of contract since 11/9 and currently paying £19. Do I just ring them up and quote this link or there another way? The deal doesn't exist on their site if you go through their sim shop, still shows as £20

Heated OP!

Someone else had success through the app and saw this offer as an existing customer, so maybe try that?
I can only see it for £20 a month on their website.

And £18 via the OPs link.

Anyway of getting this direct on their website to try and benefit from TCB/Quidco? Thanks

It is when roaming!
How unlimited is "unlimited". Thinking of using this for a home broadband replacement. I use Netflix/Prime Video 4K (light use). Also, I have Xbox Game Pass so I often download large games? My mobile already has a Three SIM which gets pretty good 4G signal, so not worried about the speed. Just the hidden data cap.
Got this for £10 a month about a month ago on here
nexus7625/09/2019 15:03

Have 3 sorted out their roaming partner contractuals/relationships to allow 4G usage abroad yet? This time last year I found it difficult to get reliable or even useable mobile data abroad when limited to 3G providers - might be the cause 'throttling' you saw when roaming...

Doesn't look like they have yet - simsherpa.com/net…iew

EDIT : actually their own site suggests they may have enabled 4G in some locations abroad now e.g. three.co.uk/sup…ain

You can do it, I've did all this and not came close to the apparent limit that some say its a fair usage policy of 100GB?

Can't get anywhere near those speeds where I am near the centre of a large Midlands city, I've been on this plan nearly a year!

1000gb

Unlimited data gives you worry free internet use. Even if you used your phone for every minute of every day you could only use, subject to TrafficSense™, around 1000GB each month
Never use more than 5gb so no point
It really doesn't matter how cheap Three are in London. They have no data capacity here most of the time.
Sim only deal ran on out monday, I'm paying £18 a month 100GB data, unl text & unl calls. Good deal

i find that 3's retention team are pretty helpful in getting deals. just call up, threaten to leave citing cost and negotiate. dont be disheartened if you don't get a deal straight away, try calling a week later. Am currently paying £10 for unlimited everything after initial 12 months contract.

Yeah thought it was something like that, just missed out a zero lol. I was away for about a month and this sim kept me going with Netflix, Xbox live, downloading games and updates,YouTube absolutely everything and never went near anything like that 1000GB. It's just the signal in places that can ruin this great deal.

Pedantic maybe but... 1000gb isn't the same as 1000GB.

I'm on this from previous offer and can confirm that the limit is 1 Terrabyte per billing month.

Also, I don't get anywhere near the speed above (in East Midlands conurbation) but it is used in a 3g Mi-Fi device attached to laptop as mobile phone too old!
